Awesome video man!. I'm still trying to learn all this stuff. Just bought a 2018 1LE. Wish I could see all of your temperatures in the overlay of the video, lol. My question is, at the end of the video was there anything really hot, like differential or transmission or oil temp? Or tires? I'm a newbie trying to learn. Badass driving btw

Everybody. Do yourself a favor. Always turn off traction control.

few people I have met have the skill to track SS or VETTE with no traction control ....when they are in track mode there is less control but still there

thanks for the kind words ! you could try putting the EMG 57 66 set ? it might beef up the tone of the SG
@latinrockfusionfreak4 жыл бұрын
@@formedoutofchaosambientgui5382 I would love to, but I need to drill a battery compartment or something due to the big pickguard, one that I will not be able to access without screwing up my setup. I have considered buying a new guitar with the 57/66 set installed.

@@latinrockfusionfreak I think the Viper deluxe 1000 is the best value from previous generation for VIPERS comes with 81/60 emg , I miss my OLD deluxe ! It was more powerful heavier wood this one is more resonant sustain

How do you like this guitar so far? Any issues?
@formedoutofchaosambientgui53824 жыл бұрын
I love it its my favorite guitar of all time, I had a deluxe viper prior that I loved but it was a much heavier sound the 57 66 combo of this is more versatile , I like the viper body style the best and would choose this one over everything

Not sure of the corner numbers, but on the Carousel after turn 3ish, there is a black line in the middle of the track. Stay to the left of the line through the double apex then turn in late to the third apex curb. You are treating it like 3 turns when it should be only 2. You are going into the 3rd apex way too shallow and losing all of your speed before entering the back straight. If you go back to CMP, ask an Instructor to show you this, they are great at that track.
@joshduke1346 жыл бұрын
I think you can carry a LOT more speed through the kink. I used to hit it at about 103-105 in my stock C5 Z06, even on street tires (Nitto NT-05).

I've been watching a lot Camaros on road courses lately, and it's amazing how good they are on track. The SS 1LE, ZL1 1LE, The ZL1, and even the SS, and GEN5 Z28 but that alpha chassis is something else. I enjoyed your video i still have about 7 minutes to watch and all i see is you passing, nobody has challenged you yet lol. Great job i also was wondering if maybe you would be better off to drop down into 2nd on those 2 different sections of tight narrow turns maybe be able to come out of the turns with better acceleration? Looks like a great way to spend the day.
@formedoutofchaosambientgui53827 жыл бұрын
thanks , I've been working on it! your right about dropping into second that was my only compliant with the 1le so far on track .. the torque in 3rd gear on some tight turns is light and 2nd can be to much .... well I said goodbye to the 1le and bought a 17 grandsport haven't tracked it yet because its cold! but plan to do a new channel focusing on the differences between the z51 , GS, and 1le on track!

Hey buddy can you comment on the difference between 1LE and GS? Appreciate it!
@formedoutofchaosambientgui53823 жыл бұрын
@@weize9807 The SS is heavier and more forgiving its 8/10 the grand sport IMO was lighter and took the turns much better and is a perfect track car for the money also the experience in the vette is more amazing

I think the button got bumped by the instructor cause I never drive in tour even on the street! i did however have it programmed with track suspension on through mylink, so i think it was still stiff enough. I need to play with PTM more next time
