I like that Cinderella is a normal, non-magical young lady. Her "super-power" is that she was raised as a genteel, sweet girl who had to suffer through major life blows but did so without becoming bitter. Her ability to adapt to markedly changed circumstances is another of her strengths. This version joins my other favorite versions, all of which have Ella meeting the Prince beforehand which always made more sense to me. These include Ever After, The Glass Slipper (has the most fun "Fairy Godmother") and The Slipper and the Rose. The latter even has more story after the Prince finds her and takes her home to meet his parents. Happily, one doesn't have to have one favorite. :)
