so much for simplicity. Plus this requires a commitment from the game studio, and staff/engineers/time to manage all of this. skip all of this and go straight to Edgegap infra.

I get your point but big companies like sony probably want to be more independent and already have enough people and expertise to pull it off.

This is so very bloated. One can get very far using just a Dockerfile+Makefile instead.

It is laughably cliched how many times the phrase "making a baby" is used. It is a very unprofessional phrase to use even once.

This tool looks to have substantial data collection enabled by default. No person would say that they're missing extremely buggy spyware in their life, yet this tool offers just that!

Earthly is amateurish garbage and should never be used. Its authors block users for reporting bugs. If you don't believe me, see issue 900 whereby -D kills running processes; this was closed without a resolution, and the reporter was blocked.

War stories are the best. It was a utility company, who just happened to be paying an employee called Mr MoorHEAD, and their payment file happened to be the exact size to be split across 2 100Mb chunks, so the first 4 chars of the second chunk was HEAD which was triggering a disallowed HTTP method rule in the network gear. Good times... Most unbelievable theory i've ever had that turned out to be true. Was a pain to convince the network team of though.

Hello Ionut, Very interesting video. I have some questions: - My information system uses AWS Aurora (MySQL), and there I have users and relationships with many other entities. What's the proper way to integrate a database with cognito? Do I have to have the users duplicated? - Is it easy to implement passwordless login using SMS? - Can you use SMSs in the London region? Because I see that it is not possible to send a text message through SNS if you use the London region, you have you use the Ireland region. Thanks a lot.

Hi Ricardo, a very late reply, apologies for this as I seen the comment just now... 😬. I realise it's been a while, but I'm more than happy to have a conversation about Cognito if still of interest. Maybe we can get in touch via Twitter?
