Great restoration! I’ve done many that have had water damage from not replacing gaskets.

I suppose restoring it to looking basically new was for resale value? I think it would've been infinitely cooler if the dial, date ring and hands had just been cleaned as reasonably well as possible and the metal not polished so completely.

Fantastic! You really know what you are doing. It's hard to believe that you brought this disaster of a watch back to life. I'm especially impressed by the level of detail that you put into the bracelet restoration, of all things. Thank you for sharing!

amazing restoration... really amazing... but I think you over paed for the watch, one part of me is very pleased because you save this one, but all costs add and seems to be the price of a good one in the first place.

Самое сложное, это воссоздать заводской сатин, в данном случае - не получилась. Но смотреть увлекательно

what are those purple stones in almost every watch?
@ChronoWorkRestorations2 күн бұрын
Those are synthetic ruby bearings, used for their wear resistance and low friction.

0:49 How you fix the clasp?
@ChronoWorkRestorations4 күн бұрын
It's not shown in the video but I used a staking set to hammer down the area around the center locking pin to tighten the clasp.
