2024 rocks, only because the classics rage. This was the flagship song on 90.9 The Light in 2007, but it transcends all that. Dang.

A couple of years and I'm a silhouette My halo is broken now and I'm all that's left I hate to disappoint but it's the way things went I was bound to the things I did and after what was said Tie up these loose ends These voices are calling me out I've got the solution You can feed me to something That is leaving this doubt Whoa, I'm losing hope There's a hole in my heart That's been cut out of stone Whoa, cold comes cold goes Could you fill this hole? 'Cause I can't do it alone A couple of tears and I'm a broken mess The sadness has taken me far too deep in regret So sing me a song about something good My heart's on the thrashing floor And I've done every single thing I could I use to believe in some kind of feelin' That could change everything I thought I knew But that door is closed and My heart feels like it's frozen If you hear me I can feel you Whoa, I'm losing hope There's a hole in my heart That's been cut out of stone Whoa, cold comes cold goes Could you fill this hole? 'Cause I can't do it alone The coldest heart can be brought to life When it's thrown into the fire of goodbyes The coldest heart can be brought to life When it's thrown into the fire of goodbyes The coldest heart can be brought to life When it's thrown into the fire of goodbyes The coldest heart can be brought to life When it's thrown into the fire of goodbyes Whoa, I'm losing hope There's a hole in my heart That's been cut out of stone Whoa, cold comes cold goes Could you fill this hole? 'Cause I can't do it alone Whoa, I'm losing hope There's a hole in my heart That's been cut out of stone Whoa, cold comes cold goes Could you fill this hole? 'Cause I can't do it alone I've got the coldest heart ('Cause I can't do it alone) I've got the coldest heart I've got the coldest heart I've got the coldest heart

It's like I never had time to look away. Bodies stuck between death and decay, Are plastic and set up on display. And their eyes are wide and they are looking my way. Each ligament exposed, each muscle connected. And every organ that I proudly neglected. I've been arranged for the common collective. Stomaching the sight of human flesh resurrected. It seems we're fearfully made and designed. But it's a shame we can be so blind. We're all the same, Made of hair and bones and water and blood cells. We're all to blame, For spending way too much time on ourselves. I have been blessed and now I'm blind. A veil's been pulled over my eyes. Now every bad season that kept me believing seems so contrived. There's more glory to be seen And savored through suffering Than ever was through self-serving escape. It seems we're fearfully made and designed. But it's a shame we can be so blind. We're all the same, Made of hair and bones and water and blood cells. We're all to blame, For spending way too much time on ourselves. Ashes to ashes And dust to dust! 'Cause we're all the same, Made of hair and bones and water and blood cells. We're all to blame, For spending way too much time on ourselves.

My real estate My life is dull And dried up like the sound A voice makes when the heart grows cold And it's going that way I think I'll move out of state Somewhere far from Seattle city lights They burn my eyes California sounds nice but California's a lie Maybe I'm out of luck Or maybe I'm just blind All this time Rain on my hopes Rain on my soul Rain on everything that I know It feels so ludicrous The pursuit of this dream We thought we'd be there long ago My life is like a rolling river So muddy and absurd And although I might be mistaken I know that I'll be heard And I find the second I try to pull away I'm thrown back in line All this time So Rain on my hopes Rain on my soul Rain on everything that I know It feels so ludicrous The pursuit of this dream We thought we'd be there long ago Rain on my hopes Rain on my soul Rain on everything that I know It feels so ludicrous The pursuit of this dream We thought we'd be there long ago And we are all looking for the same thing The same thing Seattle is calling me back home Back home So Rain on my hopes Rain on my soul Rain on everything that I know It feels so ludicrous The pursuit of this dream We thought we'd be there long ago Rain on my hopes Rain on my soul Rain on everything that I know It feels so ludicrous The pursuit of this dream We thought we'd be there long ago
