Asalamu alaykum brother. Thank you for your video. Let me suggest one correction. Etfs are not managed. You said something like "there are pro managers doing the work". Thats kind of exactly what you want to avoid with etfs. They are funds thats just replicate a certain index. Thats why they are so cheap. Actively managed funds are usually very costly and perform mostly quite poorly. Because actually no one really is a pro at the stoxk market. People are mostly clueless. Theyre just robbing you off your money. So be aware that etfs are passively managed. The only active part really is the guys creating the index and the guys programming the software that buys the shares every 6 or 12 months or so

8:30 Hah, I currently work at a startup in Glasgow and I'd definitely disagree on this one - it really depends on your startup's priorities. Our clients fully understand that folk go on holiday sometimes and, before we had the luxury of delegating tasks, we'd just book time off a couple of months in advance so it could be factored into project planning. We also want our staff to still be mentally present a year down the line so we make it clear from the start that we do not allocate overtime to projects unless we start falling behind the agreed upon delivery date. The only time you'd be doing odd hours is to resolve some technical emergency and those have been few and far in between.

@SohaibAshraf
@SohaibAshraf 7 күн бұрын
lol, it depends on your skillset and what you like 1. corporate law / corporate finance / strategy consulting are all very competitive , so although i mentioned them - it's gonna take a lot of hustle to even get an interview at these places 2. accountancy roles are more in demand - but still slightly competitive but no where as competitive as the jobs i mentioned in 1. (although not super hard as long as you have half a brain and are applying) - as you can imagine the salaries arent going to be as good and tbh the lifestyle isn't great , and you wont make big bucks until you're in your late 20s 3. the "most guaranteed" job I would say is to be an actuary , but the reason why that is , it's because you need to be really good at maths and have a mathematics degree - and the professional exams are really hard too. But it's not as sexy and competitive as the other roles. But if you're really good at maths, study hard , pass the exams , you can be fully qualified actuary by time you're in your late 20s and be earning big bux What I would say thought is that everything is going to require some effort and sacrifice, nothing is going to come without a bit of hustle

pharmacy, optom jobs arent great in middle east because they just employ people from India for much lower salary you can be a doctor and come over but its much more competitive Software engineer jobs are good , esp if you come from UK but it is competitive accountant - again they hire from India, i would look to move into corporate finance if you're an account lawyer - in demand , but it's best if you come UK / American firm . but it's a competitive career to get into

🎯 Key points for quick navigation: 00:05 *💳 Normalizing riba (interest) is a significant issue, with many Muslims overlooking its harmful effects, even though it contradicts Islamic teachings.* 14:29 *📉 Many Muslims are unaware of how their investments may involve haram elements, like bonds or stocks, and should be proactive in ensuring financial dealings are Sharia-compliant.* 27:00 *📚 Lack of financial literacy leads to ignorance about how wealth is earned and spent, which could have consequences on the Day of Judgment.* 41:10 *💡 Muslims must audit their finances, be aware of interest, and ensure their pension and investments are Sharia-compliant to avoid spiritual and financial harm.* 56:11 *🚀 Muslims should aspire beyond traditional career paths like medicine and law, focusing on entrepreneurship and political influence to elevate their communities.* 01:23:40 *🏛️ Political engagement is crucial for Muslims, as history shows the importance of governance and societal change, particularly as seen with the Prophet and the Sahabah.* 01:45:50 *🛠️ Business habits among Muslims often fail to align with Islamic principles, with a tendency to cut corners or shortchange, which can harm both reputation and financial success.* 02:03:20 *👐 Charity is vital for spiritual and material growth, and Muslims should practice regular giving, not waiting until they are wealthy, as it leads to greater prosperity and blessings.* Made with HARPA AI

We moved to Sharjah 2 years ago and so many other muslim expats have done the same and I don't even know where to begin to explain how incredibly far off you are in your assessment about Sharjah (Like Pakistan?! Really??). Just in a nutshell, those expats who chose Sharjah didn't do so because it was close to Dubai. Rather the opposite is the fact; that it is so much different than Dubai.

@SohaibAshraf bro sorry i lived in london most all my life (im 40 plus) north london and south and east, most my family lives here as well for 2 generations, and no one has been a victim of a knife or gun crime, yes people have been killed in my area once every couple of years but its not lawless like you say, i find this very disingenuous. I have heard of people getting there's phone snatched, but it's nothing compared to places like Karachi where street crime is unbelievable, the only thing i would argee with you is as a Muslim in England has become more racist and on the other hand it is hard to maintain our deen become of the liberal attitude in schools. But please dont push this narrative of crime in london. Most people love to repeat these talking points but have never experienced it.

Language is a key to a community, by noticing the difference and similarities and where people excel in different ways should reduce the tribalism, and that one group is superior or inferior to the other. Or culturally one is better or lesser than the other. May الله make all your affairs easy for you آمين. And may He use you to make these changes so we can achieve الحياة الطيبة/ Ευδαιμονία
@SM-qk5hi

Another thing I would do is understand the difficulties and challenges the construction workers face so in a subtle way I can help. Like Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه who used to help an old woman, she didn't even know what title he held. I'd also want to understand why the native population don't like to mix with the expats as much, in London my friends from الخليج, tell me it's due to cultural differences, us being from the west and them being from the east, but after having a few conversations they come to the realisation we have more in common than our differences. There's alot of reasons as to why they don't mix as much and like to remain in their comfort zones, usually it's tribalism. It would be interesting to know if you've found something different from my observations as to why this happens, and if there is a solution to this. I also recognise my knowledge is very limited. A solution to dubai, I don't know if this happens but giving street dawah to the non-Muslims, etc
@SM-qk5hi
@SM-qk5hi 28 күн бұрын
I wanted to add something, as a مؤمن regardless of where الله places us on His أرض we'd want to make changes so that the goal/Τελοσ is الحياة الطيبة, or Ευδαιμονία. Where you see lack is opportunity to make it better. In the UK there's community at the expense of shying our Muslim identity, whereas in the UAE and الخليج in general there's religious identity but lack of community or too much tribalism. In order to tackle the latter, make changes in that you take an interest in your fellow Muslim brother, regardless of social status and show them how الله has given رزق in different ways, the construction workers in the UAE need to hear how much الله appreciates their efforts in their work. One thing I would do is recognise that they can speak I. E. اردو, বাংলা or हिंदी better than me and for them to teach me a few phrases. It shows compassion and appreciation.

Dubai, Qatar and Saudi are ideal places to live for educated Muslim professionals given you have a European passport as it unlocks lots of opportunities that are inaccessible otherwise for Pakistanis or other 3rd world countries. Living in Sweden and having visited Dubai twice i can clearly say the Swedish lifestyle is a million times better but the speed of growth in Europe is too slow.

It doesn't seem like a lot of people take a step back to think how their parents or family ended up in the west in the first place. The vast majority of the transplants around me came strictly for financial reasons leaving their parents and their siblings and the rest of their established comforts behind. That was celebrated and encouraged. Now, people making hijrah are going to find it very isolating because making decisions based on faith, closeness to Allah and purifying your environment are not something the masses celebrate. As far as Dubai, I would recommend actually living in Sharjah if you moved for hijrah. Dubai is still easily accessible, but you'll find a more peaceful environment and conservative community there, and they have speakers and lecturers coming often for talks.

salam alaykum brother. i understand where you are coming from. me my wife and children moved from canada to the middle east. we were able to get citizenship through linage so the fear or anxiety of "having to leave" is not there for us. But what i think is mostly effecting you, (and you must have come to the same conclusion) is that you are home sick and miss your family. perhaps even the UK. when we left the 1st time we lived it up for a year and enjoyed it, then eventually we started to miss our families and some aspects of back home. (calling the land of kufr home still feels weird and wrong lol). but as soon as we returned to canada, we immediately came to the conclusion that there is no way that we can raise our kids there WHILE we have the ability to do hijrah. (financially, physically ect.) we returned to the middle east and we are happy now that we know we made the right decision. no matter where we go, the kufr and shirk and lack of islam is too obvious. living in a muslim country really highlights the blessing of a land that calls to la ilaha il allah. and NO MATTER how big your family or community is, the muslims will always be the minority among the kuffar and living in the land of the west will reach a point to where the hadith "holding onto your deen is like holding onto a hot coal" will apply to you. as if it hasnt already. at one point you will have to realize staying for your family and putting your iman, your wifes iman, and your childrens akhira at jeopardy is NOT worth it. and remember, the entire world belongs to allah and dont let papers and borders make you feel like a tourist. a muslim country is a muslim country. and you are a citizen of that country as long as you live there. your family came to the UK and felt the same thing, no family no community but over time built one. why not do the same for your offspring? and even better, you migrate for your iman, deen and akhira while most of our parents/ grandparents migrated for financial reasons. not saying thats completely wrong, but which one is more valued in the sight of allah? anyways i think you should consider going to a muslim country in the long run, even if its not the UAE. you are responsible for your children and no amount of family can prevent them from being indoctrinated by the kuffar government and society. may allah make it easy for you brother.
