Lived in NOLA 7 years. All 7 Mardi Gras! I suggest staying out of the downtown parades if you have kids! Metairie, the west Bank, all towns around the Gulf Coast have Mardi Gras parades but you must experience the downtown parades at least once! Two straight weeks of parades and alcohol and boobs!😂😂

As a non-New Orleanian I have the great fortune to be a member of the Krewe of Thoth and ride during carnival season every year. For the last few years, as the weather here at home gets cold, I start to watch this video repeatedly as it sums up the spirit and puts me in the mood for my impending trip. To those that have never been, just know that Mardi Gras is this most celebratory and hospitable city at its most celebratory and hospitable. Thanks to the filmmakers and laissez les bon temps rouler!

Yo soy panameña y he estado en los Carnavales de las tablas no se porque este video esta hablando mal de el carnaval es parte de la cultural y nadie lo esta viendo mal. Yo soy de ka capital pero es un Carnaval muy buen "organizado" y de miy buen gusto no hay "ghetto" estos son los pananeños de clase igual que los de Chriqui cuando hacen algo lo hacen con "clase"y eso que naci en la ciudad y los carnavales de la Ciudad no nos malos pero nada como las tablas. La verdad tienen Dinero y saben como organizar las cosas. Bendiciones mi gente..muy bonito trabajo y al que no ke guste que se valla..a otro lugar.
