I do believe social darwinism can be applied in the business world. Or the business evolved, or it goes bankrupt, by its competitors, a good example is Blockbuster and Netflix. Blockbuster went extinct because it couldn't evolve and adapt in the new business environment.

An overall good presentstion of traditional conservatism, but what is meant by an organic society is a bit different in traditional conservatism than what Durkheim meant. Organic society or Organicism is the idea of that society is best understood as an organism were each class make up different parts. What effects one, effects the whole organism. Our duty towards society arise out of them being part of ourselves. This include the dead, the living and the unborn. The King isn’t simply the King but our King. When his family prosper we share in their Joy like how we share in the Joys of our children, parents, siblings, friends and so on. Likewise, when the people suffer, the King is outraged as they are his people. This is as opposed to the liberal theory of Social contract theory where the state and society is a contract between the individual and rulers where certain rights and duties are agreed upon.

according to catholic doctrine, you're not allowed to oblige someone to be catholic. You can only try to make certain values be incentivized and others disincentivized. And try to protect certain principles in a society. We Catholics are ruled by God through the church, because we don't consider the government to have supreme authority on saying how we should live, or on morals and principles. And we subject to the church willingly. To be in favor of imposing principles of natural law, is not the same as trying to oblige people to be religious. Natural law is the basic. Pagan societies also had natural law. If you have a government that all agrees in their views, then that society will be run by that view. There's no such thing as separating religion from state completely. Everyone believes in something, even if it's some kind of philosophy or ideology. We can't have someone rule a society and expect them to act different from the principles they believe in. that's why, if you have pious catholic rulers, that society will be guided by catholic principles on how a society should be run.
