Thanks for doing Whose Shoulder...I love that song and actually have been doing it slower like the Caleb Klauder version...feels like it fits the topic, for me. a fiddle player who likes to sing. Maybe more a country-feel since it's slower, with a lot of opportunity for juicy fiddle (and dobro!) breaks - but I just like them all!

The guy must have rubber bands on his balls to hit those high harmonies. 😳

Better the third listen. So damn close.Maybe just a low harmony , this is bothering me now. lol.
@TheNaturalust7 күн бұрын
Perfect instrumentation. Needs 3 guys (sorry) and a better second guitar part and mandolin playing.,if done that way this would bring any house down! But the vocals are great here, a few places need tightening. You should never hear the harmony singers by themselves. Either at the beginning or end of a phrase, even for a very short time. You are there to raise the main vocal, nothing more. Get a third very tight harmony. You guys need me producing it for you. It would get millions of view. What a blast. To be fair I could tell the mando player was learning the tune …perhaps with some time. Also to be fair, this beats most of the Dead versions. But Jerry in 1977 really played this one well. Overall B+

Really? Columbus Day? No need to get political. I’m out.
@TylerGrant19 күн бұрын
The holiday formerly known as Columbus Day was officially changed to Indigenous Peoples Day. Nothing political here. Columbus was a tyrant who enslaved those he conquered, and the good people of our country are finally acknowledging the genocide and enslavement of those who were here before. I think that is an honorable and worthy cause. What is your issue with this?

Dude, you play great, and know a lot of cool tunes. I'm pretty new to bluegrass, and loving it. I got a couple jams nearby, and cool friends to play and sing with. Your vids are fun. You're a water dog, like me, but I'm surfing, no rivers near here.

Very nice man, wonderful sounding guitar and obviously exceptional playing. If I were blindfolded I'd have guessed this was a far larger acoustic.

Hey Tyler! I just recently joined your artistwork lessons here and found your KZbin channel here. First time I stumbled across you was Truefire on an Allman Brothers tutorial you did so well on Blue Sky. The way you went into it so clearly and in depth I was pretty much instantly a fan man.... thanks. Your guitar playing is nothing short of phenomenal :) Best regards, Tommy~

I was lucky enough to be standing by Jared Finck's booth at IBMA last Saturday when you recorded two numbers. What a hidden gem, you are an amazing duo. Was a real highlight of the conference for me. I hope you post those recordings.

I like your original; Last day on the job. I caught on quick enough, it's catchy, and jams always have previously unknown songs. Btw, I'm friends with Sandy, play often with her brother Mike.

It's a fun one to jam to, with the metronome on the mando chops or evens.

Hi Tyler - thanks for doing this. Would it be okay for me to download your jam videos and record a duet with banjo and harmony vocals someday, then repost to KZbin?

Just wanted to say how much I love these. I haven't made any of these live yet, but I've been going through the old ones and using them to practise. I feel like I'm really making some progress because I can be at a jam any time. Please keep on going, even if people aren't watching live, we're still appreciating your work.
