Esta orquestación podría ser perfectamente del propio Bach. Enhorabuena a Thomas Oehler por su trabajo y a toda la orquesta, y gracias a Trevor Pinnock por ofrecernos discos como éste y como el de las Variaciónes Goldberg orquestadas por Jözef Koffler. Los amantes de Bach esperamos pronto el siguiente disco con las restantes partitas no grabadas en el primer disco.

By far the best recording of the Vesper! The music works so much better if you give the stage to the singers and the instruments are really just the background to these voices.

This is called countertenor. And yes, these days countertenors are closest to castrati voices of old

Please pass this message to Claire Martin from my dear friend Russell George, whose song "Not Exactly Paris" she performed with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra last year. He wrote the lyrics to this song and was surprised as well as extremely delighted to hear her sing it. We joked that the lyrics she sang in her rendering had a slight difference, perhaps "Not Exactly Not Exactly Paris" This has truly made a deep impression on Russell, and he wishes to express his sincere gratitude and compliments.
