Dusty wanted them to keep playing and for Elwood to be the one to make that happen. A lot of folks forget back in the 00’s, I want to say it was 04 or 05, Dusty took an extended break from touring with the band because his hips were shot and he had to take time off and do something about it. During that time Elwood was the one who filled in with Dusty’s blessing and because of Dusty’s recommending him. That’s why I don’t get the ones who hate on Billy and Frank for continuing on with Elwood playing Bass after Dusty’s death. Not only was it what Dusty wanted, Elwood was actually the only one who had history with the band in the past and could actually pick up the Bass and keep the sound and feel of the band somewhat close to what it was before. While myself and many others miss Dusty Hill greatly, we also appreciate Elwood, Billy and Frank for keeping the band and the music alive for all us fans after Dusty’s passing.

Saw their 50th tour at the PCC theatre. I sang every song. Easily had over 75% of the lyrics. I took a drink or rubbed my wife's ass when I didn't.

It's so sad, you can see he is clearly struggling there but manages to hold his shit together to the end before being helped off stage. I treasure the albums I've got of them

I think Dusty looks seriously ill here.. I don't see his hands or lips move much, which makes me question if this was really a live performance. Somebody so ill yet playing and singing so good sends up red flags.... I'm no dummy. Something is not right! RIP Dusty.. Thank you for the music! They even used this Lip sink track after his death, and pretended it was his last Live performance, we all know it wasn't live at the time of his last performance. That's show business I suppose. I'm not down with being deceived especially at today ticket prices!

I saw their last lineup and they slapped a fake beard and longer hair on some other dude lol; RIP 🪦 Dusty Hill. Joe Perry opening way way better Cuz it’d been probably the only time they couldn’t end it with Tush for the last 45 years as their encore not to mention those songs in a higher register that were impossible for Billy to hit. Sad all around. Sincerely, DJP ex Anal Cunt; PostMortem and Kilslug Sony;Earache 🇬🇧 Columbia and TAANG!! Records @ ALL RIGHTS RESERVED and a big Greetings 🖖 😢from Boston Massachusetts Amerikkka to You too there my friend! Thanks 🙏🏻 again for the upload of his final performance. Take care of yourself now and keep playin’ that authentic Tex/Mexican blues ingrained into this legendary band of hippies who’ve become everything they did after Moving Sidewalks ( their original act-1); selling their souls to MTV upon which’s why most of the idiots in this particular demographic remembered them from and all of their records ya need are really just ZZ Top’s First Album @1970- 🤷🏻‍♂️ possibly either Eliminator or XXX later 90’s and half live if I recall correctly, but the greatest thing ever was they only played what they felt like doing and never catered to the crowd. This IS the quickest way to become here today and gone tomorrow. Trust Me on this one ☝️ Writing music #101! Okay dude, later! DJP 😉

@@northyland1157 Dusty was literally in the early stages of dying as this show was taking place. I prefer to think that I got a chance to see a rock legend one time before he passed. But you go ahead and be pissed.
