If you can feed your pressure washer hot water you usually don't even need to bother with any de-greaser.

Just got a motor back from the machine shop myself, so I need to clean my engine bay as well. I like to use one of those weed sprayers you pump up with air pressure and fill it with water and cleaning solvents for engine bays and interiors. It can spray for a while and cover a large area. They are also much easier on the hands than those spray bottles. I also like to clean and then retrobrite overflow tanks while they are out.

At least a person what does the work herself and not just pay others to do the work . that is the one thing i love about her. Doing as much as she can herself

I might suggest using a de-esser in your post production mix down of the audio to smooth out the edges on the Ssss sounds a little bit, but over all your audio sounds fine. Better than many YT’ers. At least you acknowledge the quality of your audio as an element of your videos that deserves attention just like graphics and title page fonts, etc. thanks for caring. Have been enjoying your journey this far! Thanks for sharing with us mere mortals. 🙏🏻

Brightly coloured gloves are pretty handy when you're elbow deep into a dark corner of an engine bay and can't see shit, so you can still see where your fingers are!

budget rebuild?? its a bit late for that isn't it? you're not building a shopping cart, its a race engine. id be looking for a low miles second hand engine as a starting point.

Why is it so hard for some guys to believe you actually wrench on ur own stuff? Hell, even IF it were fake id still accept it because 1. We need more women into motorsports and cars (sausage fest) 2. Your videos are funny 3. You’re not entirely repulsive to the eyes 😂. So keep up the good work (that apparently you don’t actually do) 😂😂😂

@TooLoudBear3 күн бұрын
Were the lifters replaced when you did the cam?
@Gabby_Downing3 күн бұрын
Yes, lifters and trays were new when I installed the new camshaft last year
@TooLoudBear2 күн бұрын
@@Gabby_Downing That sucks a little bit more. But if material went through the oil passages, than diagnosing what was the main culprit for the failure is going to be more difficult. If that's even a concern. But it means probably new lifters and cam etc... on the new build. So the costs just keep adding up. Kinda sucks
@TooLoudBear3 күн бұрын
That balancer bolt and balancer looked like it came out and off a Lil too easy. A defective harmonic balancer can beat the bearings up. And even cause a crank to break

Just found your channel. Automotive engineer here who worked at Chevy Engineering where the Corvette was developed in Warren, Michigan. You are a beautiful lady with rare gearhead gene. At some point, would love to hear how you got into drifting and have interest to tear down your engine? aside from obvious need to have it rebuilt. Glad it was salvageable. Many women I worked with in engineering for example never tore down an engine while many men have including me. Maybe you developed your passion for cars from your dad where many girls and boys get in from including the gearhead gene, an inherited quality. Subscribed and wishing you the best. Please wear eye, face and ear protection as needed when doing this hard work. All the best and safety first.
