After everything that happened last vod, watching this feels so hollow (but also cool as fuck). It's an extremely bittersweet ending to what has been an incredible journey with so many ups and downs. I feel so compelled to watch other POVs to see how the other players wove stories with their toys, but I'm so glad I started here. Sophie, you brought so much emotion to your part of this SMP. The laughter, the anger, the crying, and everything in between. When I started watching your IJWPMMWMF SMP streams, I had no idea the kind of adventure Balloon SMP had brought to so many people. Even just watching as a viewer has been amazing. Thank you for playing for as long as you could and for streaming all those hours. I can't wait to see where your hubris takes you in the future ❤️.

Okay real talk, the amount of people genuinely foaming at the bit over the drama and thinking certain people are genuinely evil is actually mind-boggling😭 like, I have said before that I'd be anxious having fake fights but only because in this context I wouldn't be able to see the persons face and that'd just make me uncomfortable. (I'm sorry this is so long but I have so many thoughts.) Selling your soul just for knowledge is terrifying to me... I would only do that if I somehow knew that the answers I found would justify completely losing my entire being to the eldritch god looming above, just to be used as fuel for it to be again. Even if the souls, your own soul would be "at peace", would one not also be eventually restless and bored considering all it can do is watch? Or worse, would it be obliterated when used to revive "us"? And, "Us"? Does that mean multiple, many more blue-balloon entities, or is that simply how the blue-balloon refers to itself? In the face of all of these unknowns... Giving up like this was... It felt weird. Uneasy. In terms of the story, it was incredible. It was a choice my mind tries to justify as cowardice because I would be terrified of choosing that option. Ironic. In the end I think it might have been pointless-- though I haven't seen much more of the SMP past this-- because what is the point of having knowledge that you can't share freely? What is the point of having knowledge that you will soon not have an individual mind to think about? You now have answers, but they're useless, they don't help anything, anyone. And I myself still have questions I would have asked. What did it need help with? It had its red balloons bringing souls to the caldera, and were it not to be summoned there, I assume they would all continue filling it indefinitely, so what actually summoned it after the nuke went off? Was the portal what would be used to summon it? Assuming the portal was what it would use to consume the souls, to revive it, rather than what would be used to actually summon it there, what caused it to approach directly instead? What would the have actually happened had the portal plan gone un-nuked? Was the 31 day limit the amount of time before the red balloons would have consumed everything, or was it when the blue balloon would arrive of its own accord? With the new information, as well as the old, I would say that it is important that the blue balloon's important role as the decomposer of souls be filled, but losing this still living world in the process is scary. Surely it isn't necessary to lose this world, right? The unknown can be scary and unbearable to keep running into, a pitch-black labyrinth that you just can't map out, but turning yourself in to the Minotaur just so you can turn on the lights and see how the maze was structured only ends you with a loss. It's like if Icarus sold his soul to the sun just to see if his wax wings would have worked at all. And there is still so much that we don't understand. This is an incredible, terrifying story. Eldritch horror, really the only kind of horror that actually gives me chills, played out perfectly, in Minecraft. This ending made me feel uneasy, and I love that. Stories like this are meant to make you feel things, and feel a lot. Reminds me slightly of a film I watched a really long time ago called "Jealous Gods", I'm pretty sure it's just a KZbin video. I would not be surprised if people in charge of helping the story emerge had seen it. This is a wonderful ending and I hope that other VODs give answers, or that the actual ending does. Honesty, biggest plot twist yet

I normally don't leave comments, but I have to here. I only started to watch BalloonSMP after it was already over, and I had seen a compilation of the nuke. Then I saw Woops, Socks, and Skull's first videos on it. Then I watched Holly's VODS. When I came to the fight between the two of you after the nuke, I was shocked to my very core and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since. After I saw Holly had nothing else for me to see, I needed to see how you were holding up the team, and oh my god. I fell in love with these streams. Seeing you write out to Holly that your jaw is still sore from her punches, I started to cry a bit, especially when I read the part about running off with your martyr complex. It breaks my heart to think that Holly and Sophie in the server didn't see each other again. What a brilliant way to end your story. Thank you.

I've only been watching Sophie pov and this reeeeally makes me wanna go back and watch other players. It's evolved from spooky to actual horror and I love it all, good and bad. I had to keep pausing and reminding myself they're playing toys over how tense everything has been. Absolute cinema was made here.
