For this photos you don't need a Hasselblad. 135mm film with prime lenses 50mm f1,4 or 85mm f2 offers better looking portraits. I can't seen the advantage of medium format here. There is often a disturbing background and unpleasant bokeh in the shots. Nothing fits. Neither the foreground nor the background. It isn't all about sharpness and enlargement possibilities of 120 film. It's about the general look, the bokeh or the impressions of the photos. And in this matters medium format often sucks. Medium format shooters look here. "Don't need a Hasselblad" I don't remember him saying you needed one, just that that is his preferred camera. It's his craft, not yours, he can use whatever he wants.

Outstanding video! It is both insightful and inspirational! You are a master of the craft...and truly do capture people at magical moments that you create. Great approach...one that I appreciate and aspire to. Like you, I absolutely love shooting with my 500cm. It's an amazing experience...a sensation like no other. Keep up the great work. Ich müsste lügen, aber ich glaub das ist das erste richtig gute Video über Analogfotografie das ich auf deutsch gesehen hab. Ich mein, Willem Verbeeck, KingJives oder Matt Day die kennt man halt und ich kuck mir gerne deren Videos an...aber das war gerade echt mal n Video wo ich am Ende gesagt: Jop, hat sich gelohnt, obwohl das Video schon 2 Jahre alt ist. Aber da merkt man das das wie mit der Analogfotografie ist...gute Dinge können älter sein....und trotzdem gut. Daumen hoch!

I do not know which is more classic, the model or the Hasselblad! Both are exquisite. BTW, I wouldn't give up my Hasselblads for anything.

Ich kann mich nicht erinnern, schon einmal woanders ein Video über Fotografie gesehen zu haben, bei dem ich geneigt bin, es "bezaubernd" zu nennen. Wirklich wunderschön. Zu zeigst ja auch einige ausgedruckte Bilder. Mit welchem Farbfilm sind die gemacht bzw. mit welchem FIlm arbeitest du am liebsten? Das würde mich sehr interessieren.
