I find it kind of strange that it takes these fixed groups 11 to 12 hours to hike from the High Camp to the summit and then down to Khare. In 1985 we walked from Mera La to the summit and down to Thagnak in 4 + 4 hours. Started around 06:00 and summited at 10:00, starting from 5400m altitude. We came from Dingpoche over Amphu Labtsa, took 7 days to Lukla including the climbing part. No permits, no other trekkers in sight...

Realy nice video! Why did you choose Gokyo and not EBC or The Three Passes? When did you do that? How was the weather? How many other travelers have you met? Was it too busy? Did you have a porter? What was the size of your bags? Is 48 liter would be enough, or should I take 60 liter? (I don't take a tent or sleeping bag but I do make my own food, so I carry a stove, a pot and food for a couple of days) Thank you!
@NepalmotherhouseTreks7 ай бұрын
Hi @argusfilch1111 Namaste (Greeting from Nepal) Thank you very much for your comments.. We have done this trip in December, Most of the trekkers trigger their plan to the most popular trek to Everest base camp, so the trail will become crowded, to avoid the crowd, we chose this Gokyo Lakes trek. This is one of the amazing trips for view.. and not adventures like the Everest three passes trek. As this is a tea house trek you don't need carry to too much gear, and you can get the best sleep and food to eat. So, the 40-liter bag will be good for you if not using a porter. As we are a trekking company, we are pleased to provide the experience of a porter and Gude as you requested. www.nepalmotherhousetreks.com/everest-three-passes-trek

Sorry, I don't want to create controversy about a country and people that I love, you forward a great title for a great destination which is true but I was expecting a much better quality film about the magnificent isolated Tsum valley Tsum.. . too many useless views of road under construction which tourists hate and very little scenaries on the jewel of Tsum valley . Thank you any way for your trial

Hi Thanks for the video. Do you think it is possible for me to hike to Makalu Base Camp without a guide or porters? I am poor and want to save money. Thanks.
@NepalmotherhouseTreks5 ай бұрын
Hi @drlangattx3dotnet Namaste! Yes! it is possible to hike just yourself with out Guide and porter to the Makalu Base camp. However, for your safety, I would to suggest hire at list a porter or a Guide, which is about 23 to 30 USD per day...

Hey nice video! How long it took to arrive to Thamdandan from Kathmandu and also the trek from Thamdanda to Lukla? Im planning for a solo trek thinking if if its still allowed now
@NepalmotherhouseTreks8 ай бұрын
Hi @seifun3519 You can drive in one full day. It takes 14 to 16 hours to drive from Kathmandu. Nowadays, the jeep goes to the Paiya ( 10 km further from Thamndanda). Then just 2 to 3 hours walk to get to Lukla. For more details kindly go through this link: www.nepalmotherhousetreks.com/blog/kathmandu-to-lukla-bus Solo trekkers also allowed to Everest Base camp, however we suggested you hire at list a Guide / a porter such in high elevation trek, if incase you need help during needy station.
