My Dad was a mechanic for P I E in Chicago, at the summit terminal. He started with Allstates freight and P I E bought them out. We grew up as a P I E family. Many great memories. Always enjoyed getting to see the Mighty Mite truck when it would come into town. good times....

Back in the early 80's I had a W9 with a 650 hp KT 450 & 13 spd. od in it. Wasn't much that could keep up with me. Damn thing drank the fuel. Of course, that might have been some of my fault as for some reason my right foot would always get stuck in the radiator. It happens.

What a good song I used to go with my Dad when I was 4years old and I always wanted to be a wagon driver I felt king of the road 🛣️ in the cab with my dad he was and always be my number 1 hero unfortunately I was only 9years old when my Dad suddenly passed away age only 41years old and going out in my dad's wagon came to an end. until I passed my HGV test 20years ago and I love my Job I often think of my beloved Dad every day I imagine him in the cab with me a wagon driver from the UK respect to all fellow Trucker's men and women respect to all of you good folks 🫶🤝🙏 stay safe and Keep on 🚛 Trucking 🤍💛💙🪽

Hey Tony,I don’t know if you ever read the comments on your videos but should you read this I want to thank you for recording this !!! As a driver myself, being gone practically 10 months out of the year this song really hits home. Lost my lady to cancer last July and how I regret all those days on the road now. Played this one for her once and told her to remember me every time she heard this song if anything should ever happen to me. Bittersweet now.

My father had an uncle who used to run his own truck company in his local town. I didn't know him very well, but I liked the idea of trucking when I was a kid. He passed away a few years ago, I can't remember from what, but he was still considerably young. His two sons now keep his legacy alive, driving their trucks from city to city, nation to nation. I never got the chance to fulfill that childhood dream, but I do work as a volunteer firefighter in my local town. That's about the closest equivalent of trucking to me. I may not be able to become a trucker, but driving a fire truck or a fire engine is the closest honorable thing I can do
