God bless you. This is Apostle D. Sampson. There just a small correction that I would like to make. Feel free to contact me if you disagree, we can certainly debate the subject. First, you are correct! Tithing did exist before the law of Moses. But what is not being taught is so did every other type of giving that was under the Law. Sacrifices, Offerings, Sin Offerings, Burnt offerings and Tithing "ALL" existed before the law of Moses and the Bible confirms that they were all brought into the Law. People love to talk about the Tithe to Melchizedek taking place before the Law. But offerings were given as far back as Cain and Able. Noah presented burnt offerings to God. Abraham gave sacrifices and burnt offerings after he tithed to Melchizedek. Why isn't anyone teaching that? The Bible confirms that God was never pleased with, not did He desire any of those types of Giving. "Sacrifices and Offerings, sin offerings and burnt offerings you were not pleased with. Not did you desire them, even though they were required under the Law of Moses" This is written in the Bible people! And Jesus confirmed to the Pharisees and teachers of the Law that Tithing was also a Part of the Law of Moses. The new Testament also confirms that if you are led by the Spirit of God that you are not obligated to follow the Law of Moses. Jesus put an end to all of those forms of giving when He died on the cross for us. The only way we should be giving now is from the heart, led by the Holy Spirit. Free will offerings is how the 1st Century Church gave. Tithing wasn't instituted into Christian Churches until Rome took Authority over Christianity and they brought it in. Not Jesus and not the Apostles. We have no business doing it.

Don't sell your soul to the devil. Once someone does, it's too late. The devil only gives happiness for a certain time. And those people that sold their soul to the devil, everything they get from him will eventually be lost. Every time they did something bad for him, that sucked out every positive energy right out of them. That is what got them exposed to spiritual attacks. Someone selling that person's soul to the devil will lead to depression, physical and emotional problems, regret, worries, no hope, suffering, severe torment, despair, betrayal, demonic possession, and the devil and his demons will threaten that person to sacrifice something that person cares about. The only reason the devil wants as much people to sell their soul to him is because he and his demons are so desperate to harm and destroy them. The devil and his demons are not anyone's friend, and they don't care about anyone. The devil and his demons steal and destroy, all of them is a liar, the devil lies and betrays those that sell their soul to him, and the devil and his demons wants everything lost and destroyed. Satan and his demons strongly hates seeing anyone happy, and the devil and his demons are against happiness. The devil will not give someone happiness as long as that person wants it. No. Satan is so selfish and doesn't like to share anything with someone. He only cares about himself. Do not take anything the devil offers. The devil doesn't wanna bless someone. He just wants to destroy. Those that sold their soul to him will suffer so bad, and as soon as they sign his contract, they will not be able to get off of it. God will restore everything the devil took away as long as someone doesn't sell that person's soul to the devil. In the end, Satan is not to be trusted.

So I’ll ask in a different way, I’m a pastor on the Pine Ridge Native American reservation and we really are seeing that western style church is not helpful to the people growing in their walks with Christ. We are truly seeking to be lead by the spirit as to how we should gather and we’ve made lots of changes. You and Jeremy pointed out the wrong things going on so what’s a better way for mega churches to gather in a way that actually cultivates family and discipleship?

This was so timely and comforting. I legitimately spent a long time this evening mourning and venting to my boyfriend the state of the church and some aspects of Christian culture. I said I was feeling absolutely crazy. I have been losing sleep for days. Just knowing other people struggle with the same sort of thing and being reminded that Jesus has all the wisdom and answers for this world is so encouraging.

I agree with everything being said, I just wonder how Jeremy sees this playing out on a practical level. I worship along with every set I can find him leading and have listened to his sermons. But the big ministries I see him at and the ministers he’s close with, seem to continue following the patterns he speaks against. Sure they might have solid preaching and more Jesus centered worship but it still one man sure and marketing techniques to raise funds and get bigger buildings. It’s either the main pastor or another big wing guest minister preaching. Discipleship seems to be come pay X amount of Dollars to go to our school and if you stand out you can be on the worship team for chapel services, do announcements, offering, or open in prayer. What’s really different? Would he say they also need a reformation or are they what he feels biblical Church is? I’d love to know because I agree with what’s being said but I don’t know what they mean on a church practical level because I don’t see how these places Jeremy ministers at are any different from what’s been going on for years
