They say the youth are the problem. It always seems the entitlement of people older are the issue. Handled it like a gentleman.

Hey, I have a tournament coming up here next week, got any pointers?
@Tommy-Rust13 күн бұрын
Yeah man! The Harris chain has been pretty tough the last couple of months. The fish have been moving around a ton and have been hard to get to bite for sure (it’s been really hard for me to find fish out there at least). I’d say a decent bag this time of year will go a long way so focus on looking for areas you can simply catch some fish and slow down around those areas. Keep in mind the weather being all over the place has them messed up so slowing down can be very key.
@BEN_Fishing-go8ubАй бұрын
what baits where yall using? I was in that tournament too and i just like seeing how others caught them. also congrats on doing so well!
@Tommy-RustАй бұрын
Thanks for watching! We caught most of them on zoom flukes. It was very tough though you had to work really to get a small percentage of your bites to get hooked. We also caught some key fish on drop shots too. Thanks!
@BEN_Fishing-go8ubАй бұрын
@Tommy-Rust Thats awesome man! unfortunately I just got good with the fluke within the last 3 months so I couldn't take advantage of it during the worlds. We had about 6 pounds every day so about the average which sucks cause I live bout 45 minutes from hartwell. anyway thank you and good luck on your fishing adventures. can't wait to see some more videos and if you ever need help with a lake in SC give me a holler I'm not as good as yall but i hold my own!
@Tommy-RustАй бұрын
Awesome, that fluke can be hard to get the hang of so nice job! Hey a 2lb average in a field of almost 400 boats with all of that pressure is nothing to frown upon! Thanks for the support. I look forward to fishing in SC again, can’t get enough of those herring fish!

What is the name of this board . Where can I purchase it from and how much
@Tommy-RustАй бұрын
This setup is the DC777 made by Flex Coat which you can buy from various retailers such as GetBitOutdoors.com or others. The full setup now retails around $620 but if you wanted just the board, you can probably find it at retailers or at flexcoat.com as the DC777 board. The board itself is probably in the $100-150 range. Let me know if you have any more questions!

@Tommy-Rust Thank you so much. Will purchase this.i would like to build from scratch the old Fenwick 1270 c pacific stik royal rod 7 feet long spinner. What blank would beabout the same action of thus rod I'd you know. I wantvto build it 8 feet long though.
@Tommy-RustАй бұрын
No problem! I unfortunately do not have experience or knowledge with any of the Fenwick rods. Perhaps you could give GetBitOutdoors a call to see if they’d be able to help you and hook you up with the right blank.

And u start thinking what other people were doing lol. But in the end yall #1 pretty cool feeling

8:20 what spinning rod are you using ?
@Tommy-Rust2 ай бұрын
Dylan is using a custom rod he built for himself at that time. Particularly a phoenix feather blank, and I’m pretty sure it’s a 7’1-2” medium.

Thanks for watching! The sport is definitely divided on this but you’d be happy to hear that MLF has banned FFS and 360 for future high school tournaments. If you would like to watch a video where we didn’t utilize FFS, check out my videos on the Mississippi River from last year.
