I have loved Siouxsie for 30+ years, her voice, her songwriting, sense of awesome style are unmatched, but holding two strings and going down a fret or so makes her no guitarist: 😜

I'm a Christian but admire this group .The interaction of 2 guitars very Sisters of Mercy.A great melee of sound.

too fast ; it lacks the sexy heaviness of the album version

Listen carefully with good headphones--you'll hear all the intricate rhythmic and orchestral variations and ornaments as the song progresses. Great use of dynamics. Astoundingly improved over the original Iggy Pop version -- like how Jimi Hendrix maximized Dylan's "Watchtower"

If I may be a guitar nerd for a minute, it looks like he doesn't pick that single note after the Em in the verse, just does a pull off with the index finger. That is kind of blowing my mind right now 😅 John's technique, phrasing and chord voicings are so unique, I love his work with Siouxsie.

Normally I can easily remember melody of a song, but then I come across something like this mastework. The piece John is playing here is so difficult that I have a problem with recalling. I'm afraid this kind of musical complexity and sophistication will disappear with time...

Somewhere there is, or was, a piece of film or video tape from a camera that was fixed on McGeoch for the entire song. That is the film I want to see.

Jon Klein might have been the longest serving guitarist with the Banshees (he first toured with them in support of Through the Looking Glass), and certainly the first one without an "h" in the spelling of his name (prior: John McKay, John McGeoch and John Carruthers), but his relationship with the band was finally frayed when he could not tour in support of the band's 1995 album Rapture due to disagreements with the Banshees' manager; they replaced him with American-born Knox Chandler, who last toured with The Psychedelic Furs and who was the second guitarist in the history of the Banshees not named John/Jon since The Cure's Robert Smith in 1979 and from 1982-84.

How Keith Levene never joined the Banshees is a mystery to me. Type of guitarist which much like either McKay or McGeoch would had completely conditioned the band´s sound. PIL became a whole different band (and not necessarily for the better ) after he got the sack. Now, there´s a question I would definitely include in a possible interview with either Suzie or Steve. PIL snatched McGeoch, would had made perfect sense the Banshees do the same with Keith. Such a radical guitar style that I can´t even imagine Levene in a Siouxsie record tbph.
