For a lot of those players, it will be their last world tournament. Maybe not for Horan but most certainly for her as a starter. Crystal was probably her last the goalkeeper was probably her last. Emma Hayes said the next thing that she is working on scouting and developing youth for the next World Cup. Excited for the prospect of Lily Johannes who plays for Ajax in Holland. And the trio of midfielders that she brought to the Olympics, but never played that Jonathan Giraldez is developing. Currently at the Washington Spirit. If that name looks familiar it’s Barcelona Feminine’s ex-head coach. He recently just talked in an interview saying that the US WNT was the best in that tournament I was kind of shocked to hear that from him and he’s looking forward to helping to develop the young mid-filters, he has I believe he has five Americans. That has been the number one criticism from Europeans for several years. Need to become technically better. About to see what that is like technically better. The physically is superior mentality is superior in my opinion. Add all that were technically gifted players. Emma Hayes won this tournament, technically without a functioning midfield. Yikes!! Fun fact, she also drew the most players from two different NWSL teams, and they are coached by España coaches. One from Gotham, FC, and Washington Spirit the ex-Barcelona feminine head coach. The draft has been abolished recently, and you cannot be traded without consent now. So women don’t have to go to college anymore they can join at any age. That should help with the development. Can’t wait to see a USWNT this technically gifted, physically superior, and mentally superior. The last two parts were. In my humble opinion. One more thing, the nonstop, comments and articles about the demise of the US women’s national team were extremely exaggerated. That last part comes straight from the FIFA article.
