The wind is no joke out there. Pretty country, i have never seen anything like that in real life. How is the public land marked? just basically onx or signs on the power poles? Not many trees to hammer a sign to like in sc. Keep it up and you will get em!

Man talk about chapped lips all the time because of the wind lol, I have to take chapstick with me while I hunt now! OnX is a huge key to finding and staying on public land but they also have a public land Atlas every year up here that help too. A lot of fence posts is where the signs are😂 main issue is that pretty much ONLY walk-in areas are the only public land that is signed properly around it and that’s kind of annoying but OnX and the Atlas are life savers

@@greenoutdoors9 I have had a series of bad luck with filming. Multiple fishing trips that was not good or interesting. Tried making 2 videos in the same day 1 for deer jerky and another for summer sausage. Every thing was going good for them then the dang pellet grill stopped working lol. Hopefully soon

I hunt this same spot and saw on the video's a few clues (on-x map pic and gates) maybe for others to key in on. Don't give away to much this is a good place close to town. Maybe I see you out there this year. Hopefully you get it this year I have mounted a few good ones from that exact same spot

You’re set up wrong your bow needs to be on the left side of the tree hanging not on the right side you’re making too much unnecessary movement

It was easier to hang it there the camera would would’ve hit the bottom of my bow and I was using a really small bow hook so I was worried it would get bumped off

There was a huge group of doe, I had 10 come by me and my grandpa had 3 different ones completely go by him, we saw way less buck activity there this year because the doe were eating up all the resources

I had one of those mitchell reels for years growing up. I loved it, mine was the 300. You did a fine job cooking, meat looked perfect. Deer season can be a serious physical and mental grind if you hunt it hard, sometimes you just got to take a break and do something else for a day or two.
