I have a Pueblo version and a NAF A of MGA's flutes. They do have a unique sound, not like any other makers. I mainly bought them as collectible instruments, for the beautiful artwork, but I do enjoy playing them too. Like you said, I like ALL the flutes! Thanks for sharing your new flute. I love seeing these. 😍

What is really cool about this for me, is that this is 5 different keys still playing in first position. I am learning how to play up the fret board, but here is a way to go without using a capo! ❤ For those of us who have a hard time squishing fingers into position on those closer together frets, this is very helpful. I think I’ll even take this to the Circle of Fifths and review the transpostions.

This is about the chromatic scale. Chromaticism is using out of key notes in a piece, not all necessarily "all" 12 notes. Even using microtonal notes is chromaticism, despite not being in the chromatic scale. Insomnia by Faithless uses chromaticism when the first string note starts out of key to sound more haunting.

Recently purchased a nice, but entry level uke (reputable brand used), and it has an intonation problem. I think c-string. G chord sounds wonky, even though it’s in tune as an open string. Thanks for the tips, trying to work it out. Update: new strings and pressing less in the c-string cured it! This particular uke “bruises” easily, a delicate soul in this instrument. 😉 Not a nice enough uke for a luthier expenditure. Glad I could fix it myself with your help!

@@TheRealTommyJay Is White-shaming better? One of the biggest misconceptions about drum circles, is that they started in Africa. Yes, many people use African-style drums in drum circles, but they are a uniquely American, in name and form. If you have information to support your claims, please share it. Otherwise, you can save your judgment for someone else.
