Thanks for the nice comment - I agree. Definitely important to give youself some slack and enjoy life. Life is for living after all :) Murakami's books have such a distinct feel to them! Haven't read those but perhaps in the future - I feel that being in jpn inspires me to read more Japanese literature.

So nice to have another update from you. Stunning beach days! Reminds me of Australia and New Zealand beaches. Just glorious. The best part of it was to see how much you were enjoying your time at the beach swimming, reading and hanging with you friends. Honestly for me there is nothing better in life than days like this!!! ❤❤ How crazy that the guy you met on Bumble was literally in front of you!!!! I actually can't believe that in a city like Tokyo, I mean I guess you were at the Google space and if he's a small business person too then it might make it more probable, but still. Finally you touched on something really important about goals. I've often found them to be a double edged sword too, because I like to be optimistic about what I'm capable of, but at the same time you feel like you let yourself down if you don't reach those lofty heights. I guess over the years I've learnt to break them down either into much smaller goals but extend them over a much longer period. Still get to where I want, but it can take some time. I feel like in modern times with social media we're conditioned to think amazing things can just happen quickly. And yes, that's true, it can for some people, but often that's more luck than effort. Just keep true to yourself, know that you're a good person and you're contributing to the world, your friends and family and making the world a better place.

@@michaeltaylor9227 Never been to Australia or New Zealand but would imagine the beaches to be amazing! And yeah - it was an insane coincidence. The only thing that made it more probable imo was that he lives 2km from my place so fairly close. Very true - I'm guessing that you might be doing something similar but I try to have separate long and short-term goals. But nevertheless, I have a tendency to be overly optimistic and ambitious for both. Trying my best to find a good balance 🙏

I moved to Finland a week ago because my husband got a permanent job contract here. Amazing place ! It reminds me my hometown because of the nature (I am from Novosibirsk in Western Siberia). I don’t know how it will be in the future but after this first week I can tell that Finland has the best and the most efficient administration system 😅 Everything is much faster than in Belgium, France and Austria. I am excited to see snow again after 10 years of living in the warmer climate 😄
