awesome set up, might want to replace the wire lugs to the ground clamp with a copper one to keep the resistance down

With the mulching teeth, how much of a stump is left above grade? Does it grind down flush with the ground or does it leave an inch or two? I ask because I would like to eventually use a zero turn mower once the grass grows back. Thanks.

Nice video. Thank you. I have Rut's Tree Slayer (run it on a Kubota KX057) - absolutely awesome - but it is not ideal for field (brush) mowing because there are no sides so the blades can bottom out -- they offered to make some shrouds for it but I am thinking this is the right tool for field mowing (trails in my case). Only bummer (and this is obviously my machine's limitations) is that you can''t move (tracks) and mow very efficiently due to hydraulic flow requirements. Anycase, thanks for the info,

What does it mean when it requires a case drain?
@TOXICTRAV117Travis2 жыл бұрын
Most attachments will only have 2 hoses but sometimes a higher flow attachment will have a 3rd hose called the case drain. Quote from online: "Case drain is a component on the output side of a hydraulic pump that helps to reduce the pressure in the system. When the pressure in the system gets too high, the case drain opens and allows the pressure to escape. This helps to keep the system running at a lower pressure and prevents damage to the pump".

@TOXICTRAV117Travis2 жыл бұрын
It works great in brush for what we've used it for so far. Does decent job mulching up bigger stuff like 4-6" branches but I take it a little slower for that stuff to allow the machine to stay at the top RPM
@dinosshed2 жыл бұрын
I often think this is a better option than a flail and on smaller machines would be better powered directly from an auxiliary engine.
@KarasCyborg2 жыл бұрын
I like the side door exit, don't have to climb over the attachment, or if you need to get out to move something, you can do it with the bucket arm up. The telescopic bucket is nice too, especially for getting something across to the other side of a truck flatbed. Or if you want to set trusses with it. I would think the other machine I would get instead of this would be the bobcat versahandler, only it can maneuver in tight areas, but it won't tear up the ground as much either. I do like that Mecalac as well, only with the geopolitical situation, I worry about getting parts from Europe. You might have to buy your own lathe or 3d metal printer in order to make the parts you will need to fix foreign equipment. Now that bobcat is part of doosan .... doesn't seem there are many safe havens other than John Deere.

JCB has a large production facility in Savannah, Georgia. JCB says installation of the new telehandler production line has already begun at the plant, which employs 600 workers, and that it expects full-rate production to begin in September. Though it has manufactured the 3CX backhoe since November 2014, the Savannah plant’s primary manufacturing responsibility is and will remain skid-steer and compact track loaders. Thus, the company expects no significant impact to its Savannah employment as a result of the change. “JCB is the most popular telehandler brand in North America, and our new telehandler production line will allow us to be more responsive to local customers and win even more business in the future,” says JCB North America president and CEO Richard Fox-Marrs in a statement. He described the move as allowing “our people to more directly contribute to the success and growth of a product that is in high demand in this market.” JCB says production of the High Mobility Engineer Excavator-an armored, high-speed backhoe the company produces as part of a $206 million contract with the U.S. Army-will continue in Savannah along with production of the Light Capacity Rough Terrain Forklift, a military telehandler. The company also announced that it plans to build a new dedicated parts warehouse and distribution facility in Miami. The warehouse would free up space in Savannah to manufacture more “high-value construction machines,” JCB says. In addition, the Miami warehouse would be able to “accommodate a significantly larger parts inventory than currently stocked in Savannah,” the company says, “enabling faster supply of parts to JCB customers through the United States, Canada and Latin America.”
