When Federalism presents itself in an accountable fashion with legislation that is punishable by law for violating sworn oath of office, we the people will be slightly inclined to trust that it won’t serve debt upon us. Until then I stick to the leanings of my ancestor Patrick Henry.

The Founding Fathers were the best and the brightest of their time. They studied history and knew human nature. ‘History is a wheel, for the nature of man is fundamentally unchanging. What has happened before will perforce happen again…’ George R. R. Martin The Founding Fathers took the best of all forms of governance and devised a Constitutional Republic. The US of A is not nor was ever intended on being a Democracy. Anyone speaking of ‘American Democracy’ either does not know what they are talking about or does and are trying to manipulate you. Democracy in fact is the worst form of government following a oligarchy preceded by a benevolent-monarchy/dictatorship with the ideal a Republic (as so stated by Socrates). The Federal Government has become an over-reaching behemoth it was never meant to be. The possibility and potential the US of A could return to what the Founding Fathers had envisioned is invigorating. God help us Save the Republic!

If we acknowledge that we have a detrimental effect on our environment and that cirporations need to have acceptable work environments, those regulations need to be world wide. Now, they are just dodged by changing localities. If we decide personal safety should be enforced by laws, thats ridiculous overreach. As personnal.seafety mostly effects the person at risk. We mostly agree that money power needs balanced, so we need to continue to regulate employment and business against all monopoly. Lots of regulations are actually created to protect monopolies. Law through congress might be more responsible constructed than by agencies that are not unbiased by money. But then, so is congress, currently biased. So let's start with getting money power out of our government!

The reason some people balk at this is because they know their state won’t handle these responsibilities well, if at all. Thankfully the number of states where that holds true is very much in the minority and this approach will absolutely weed out the bad governors and elected officials there. But for a few years at least those specific states and their citizens are going to be having a very rough time as they experience the consequences of decades of serial mismanagement.

Makes best sense to me. If Vivic and Musk can explain with online reports where are wasteful money is going, Vivek will be the Republican presidential candidate. Wish both Vivic and Musk the most success as we sure do need it. Glad to see first 6 comments I read are all in positve agreement about USA need for this direction.

Granted, but the corruption starts from the bottom up. Unlike what was previously viewed as, from the top down. For instance. My water bill and taxes are going up this February. We hired a town planner, yet we now have less social activities in the town. 2019 we were a town of 10,000, now just more than 6,000. I have city water, not well. My water is brown because the mains or more than 75yrs old, they should be done ever 50yrs or less. Yet they spent over $125,000 renovating the water tower, so we can make sure the water is clean before we send it through the rusty mains. I pay almost as much taxes, on unrecognized equity, San Jose California, which is the highest homeowner property tax in the country. Yet I don't have curbside trash, they took 5 years to fix a small two lane bridge, and now will take more than 5 to do the other one. I pa's by all the time, I see a lot of people standing around, very few actually working. As the town purchased a new SUV police vehicle, I noticed the price was to high for that vehicle, even with the advanced police package. I confirmed with an auto dealer I knew personally, barring any favors he would have sold it to the town for $5,000 less. The train track bridges, our roads and public spaces, all look like something from either the third world, or how it looked in the 70's. Which was very third world reminiscent when I was growing up. We can thank, in part, the late former president who had just passed. Many of you have just started noticing this stuff and much more, most of you have just started waking up in the last 8yrs. I've been screaming from the roof tops what I use to call, the ghettofacation of the masses. That's another topic that altogether, or at least an extended chapter of what's going on now that would take up more space than this extended comment.

Since the beginning, representatives have been expanding gray areas in the expressed limits of their power. The positions we have created to serve our needs have united and unionized against providing that service to the people. Public utilities and civil services are not for profit. We have already paid for them from our taxes. Public servants are calling themselves "leaders" but they never sacrifice or risk anything when they are wrong. We must expand the phrase "from the consent of the governed" to put limits back on representatives.
