You know man, one of the things i love about this industry is that people don't care where you came from they care if your good at your job. Honestly you probably will have more "no's" then normal. But an awesome Architect is worth alot... So yeah i think you could be a successful kick-butt architect. I came from a totally non-technical background, and it worked for me. Salesforce has a cool community, get your skills up, get involved with the community, and see what doors open bro... Love that your past isn't holding you back!

Would you say understanding coding interview platforms would be a close 5th option?
@Josh-Cruz Жыл бұрын
Hmm if you mean leetcode or algoexpert or hackerrank etc. those kind of companies would definitely give you a edge up. The honest truth is you have to be able to code some thing, and explain your thought process. And the part that you’re referring to usually comes later in the interview process, that’s the technical interview. but before you could ever get to a technical interview, you have to be invited to the phone screening interview. These tips are more pointed at how to get an invite to the initial interview, not so much how to pass a technical interview.

I have a quick question, So they are offering a course stating a time frame of two years and we will be getting the certification post completion but what if someone want to join their course but can't put out 2 years down the line. Speaking in terms of my perspective I can't put two years straight out to some course but I am really interested to invest my time in revolent. Also, Participants enrolled in the program gets the job in the midst of the course or it is just straight out after two years.
@Josh-Cruz2 жыл бұрын
Hey Manas, Great question. If I understand correctly, I think they make you get certified during the "training" process. Once your certified they then find you a place to build experience/work. As far as the 2 year timeframe is concerned you are in a contraxct to work fr them for 2 years. when your 2 year timeframe is up, your contract is up and you can continue to work for revolent group or your free to apply for other jobs. So they train you and give you experience in exchanged for 2 years of your career. I think its a good way of getting into the ecosystem if you dont have a network or connections.

As part of training, you’ll gain certifications and then be deployed with their industry-leading clients. In Australia, training is online but commercial placement is typically a hybrid of on-site and remote working depending on the client- it would be worth reaching out to a recruiter or enquiring online in your region for region-specific details!

In that order... I teach at a coding bootcamp called bethel tech it's a faith based school... So if you your Christian it could be a cool option and they accept student loans and all grants if you qualify" Does that help? bless you on your journey!

Coding Dojo has a great part time MERN program for around 8k. The rest are way more expensive. This program has a month of web fundamentals (HTML, css js), two months of MERN (full-stack JavaScript: Mongo DB, Express, React, Node), and a month of Projects and Algorithms. During P&A you spend 2 weeks building a solo project and 2 doing a group project. The course load is algorithms for this last one. You have lifetime access to career services (no joke - very important), 7 day a-week TA access, ability to schedule 1:1 code reviews with your Instructor and a lot more. Was a great experience!
