I absolutely LOVED your video. I stumbled upon your site while researching the Sony Recorder. I'm glad I did. Your honesty and straightforward presentation wonderful. Also, I really like and appreciate how you share your product knowledge without excess fluff. Great job! I have subscribed. Keep making these great videos. Gary

Great info Clive, I actually wasn't aware of that little TASCAM, where did you pick it up? Also how do you find vibration noise when the 533 is attached to handheld, it seems with that little jack mic plugged in there is little, but i don't think you put it through it's paces (i.e. nervous father of the x taping with his hand). When you took the jack mic out I heard a good bit of handling noise. We tried a piggyback method with the Zoom H1, which besides being ugly as, also had horrendous handling noise feeding through from the body. We abandoned the piggyback method after that.

Hi Eoin, I thought about this when i watched back my video. I noticed the handling noise when I had it out of the pouch and without the mic. Certainly something worth investigating. It's possible that the neporene type pouch helps to reduce those noises, and maybe the mic itself too. handling noise isn't something I've struggled with in all my speech edits with this setup. But I'd be reluctant to state that as fact without side by side testing!

Got mine here dude - but checking my invoice it appears to have gone UP in price by £20 since I bought it a year ago: www.gear4music.com/Recording-and-Computers/Tascam-DR-10CS-Recorder-for-Sennheiser-Lavalier-Mic/14RO?origin=product-ads&PLA+Shop+-+Tascam&network=google&adgroup=Tascam.+All+Products&merchant_id=1279443&product_id=52836d1&product_country=GB&product_partition_id=119008995439&gclid=CNDT7oT08M4CFWEq0wodAJcNpQ
