Because of this, it forced the league to institute a disaster draft policy. If the worse did happen that night, I'm sure they would have created one but in a more hurried and sloppy set of requirement.

When people hear immigrants they only think of Mexicans. There are a vast number of people from various countries in the workforce. Yes, everyone either needs to have a work visa or to become a citizen, but here on planet earth where people with a functioning IQs live, that's not reality right now.

When mass deportations occur, American citizens can take several steps to help farmers, who heavily rely on immigrant labor: 1. **Advocacy and Awareness**: Raise awareness about the impact of mass deportations on the agricultural sector by sharing information with others, participating in discussions, and using social media platforms. Advocate for compassionate and effective immigration policies. 2. **Supporting Local Farms**: Purchase products from local farms and farmers' markets. Buying locally helps provide more financial stability to farms that might be struggling due to labor shortages. 3. **Volunteering**: Offer time to volunteer at local farms that may be experiencing labor shortages. Many farms have programs for volunteers, especially during peak seasons like harvest time. 4. **Engagement with Agricultural Organizations**: Join or support organizations that work to help farmers cope with challenges related to labor shortages. These organizations often have programs in place to address the needs of farmers during such times. 5. **Policy Engagement**: Contact local representatives and senators to express concerns and urge them to consider policies that support farmers and fair immigration practices. 6. **Promote Worker Training Programs**: Encourage and participate in initiatives that train American workers for agricultural jobs, thereby filling the gaps left by deported immigrant workers. 7. **Community Support**: Create community networks to provide support for farm workers and their families, including offering shelter, food, and legal assistance if necessary. By getting involved in these ways, American citizens can help support farmers and the agricultural industry during difficult times.

My wife’s family had a family reunion at that park and I played some basketball on that court as well. The Star Tribune newspaper in minnneapolis has retold this story a number of times over the years on its various anniversaries.

E-15 is bad for our country. It drives out the young farmers and incentives the crop farmers to buy more land to dig out all waterways and plant fencerow to fencerow. Our drinkable groundwater suffers from sediment and ag chemicals and fertilizer.

Another story I was unaware of, seems like corn fields have been saving planes and pilots for a while -- a decade later an F-106 Delta Dart, which had gotten into a flat spin, had the pilot eject and, remarkably, the change on center of gravity allowed the now unoccupied plane to stabilize and continue flying. It eventually descended until it hit a corn field where it landed, wheels up, with the engine still running. Amazingly, the Corn Field Bomber as it was known was repaired and returned to service just as this DC-3 was repaired and continued service. The Lakers plane landed in a corn field in Iowa while the Six landed in a corn field in Montana.

Interested in an in depth look at what is affecting the farm industry today. Funding, labor, China trading with Brazil and leaving the US. What is the future of the farm industry with the upcoming administration not caring about farmers? Who is running the Ag department in the upcoming administration. Are they qualified for the position?
@harrymaciolek96293 күн бұрын
I’ve noticed farmers only care about themselves and not the country and its citizens.
