Whats the flat rate time for that alternator replacement?
@kycowboytruth671819 күн бұрын
Awesome! I have a question I have a 95 d21 and I was wanting the same type of motor...that said what what would be the preferred manual transmission and clutch to go with that setup?
@RDGarage19 күн бұрын
@@kycowboytruth6718 thanks for watching!! Hard question to answer. Totally depends on power levels and how car will be used. The 2002-2004 rsx-s 6 speed, and the EP3 civic SI 5 speed are the most “plug and play” the 06-11 civic SI 6 speed is easier to find, but requires some tweaks to plug into a eg/ek/dc2 for the speedo.

I had this exact same car! Bought it off the showroom floor in November 1997. It cost about 18k brand new. I would still have it if it didn’t get stolen.
@RDGarage21 күн бұрын
ARGH that's so heartbreaking!! My dealer had it for a little over 20K and I couldn't afford it back then BUT this is the same car I wanted! VIN and he had the window sticker, I couldn't believe it. I'm so sorry about yours, these teggys were so popular and got stolen so much. :(

Great vid! and great channel. I just performed this task yesterday on my newly acquired 07 FJ with 225,000 miles lol. New to me! One thing I found that made the job easier on the front brakes was to turn the steering wheel left or right to expose the caliper bolts for either side. Your caliper bolts must of barely been tight lol! I had to use my impact even after I soaked them down with pb blaster. Also compressing the pistons on calipers before removing from the rotor with a flat head or pry bar. I am peanut butter and jealous of your shop set up and selection of nice tools. Harbor freight has become my best friend thru this DIY backyard mechanic work. Nothing sexier than a woman who gets her hands dirty!! I need your clone over here in Maryland!!!! lol hahah. Thanks for the FJ content .

Hi, Nice job and great video, Thank you for sharing it, I have a 2010 TT and live in Iowa, Rustbelt, I try to keep up with cleaning and rustproofing, Now I think I need new suspension up front, Its stock Bilstein 5160 I think,,I was wondering about cost, and can I order them myself or does it need to go thru a dealer to order? Thanks,

Thank you and thanks for watching! I would take a careful look at aftermarket options for shocks etc first. The chat forums have numerous good discussions about this topic. I went with Radflo shocks and love them but I also have the lift kit from rough country on. You may be able to get nearly identical shocks to the OEM bilsteins aftermarket as well. I hope that helps!

When torquing bolts with a torque wrench move the tool slowly until it breaks loose and do not move it past break point. if you move too fast you might hear it and move past break point which will result in over torquing.

Could you message me the correct part number for the SCE copper manifold gaskets and where you ordered them from. Also, how have the copper gaskets performed and sealed? Thanks R&D.

I used it for a couple years at drag racing events and it was great, but I got tired of constantly having to pop the hood and connecting it to the battery, especially in the dark, so now I use a Milwaukee battery powered compressor. Takes away 90% of the steps!
