Which lens would you recommend to show reality footage with the Sony ev z10. Currently I have a Sony 11mm 1.4 but I don’t really see any examples online other than cinema short films most of which are in slo mo.

Thank Michael for such a PRACTICAL video. What I love the most are the sections regarding the bloopers, Phones, "Bluetooth, & Interference", and "Record audio of 2 people max".

After backup, I go through the clips before importing into Davinci Resolve. I start with the last take from each scene as it's most likely to be a keeper. Then I work backwards to keep one to three takes of that scene. Then, on to the next. Most b-roll I leave as-is. Hope that helps.

Great tips, Preparation is one of the most important step in production that will affect deeply your shoot if you don't attend to it well.

Hey, im getting research for my own reality TV show and I thought it would be smart to ask you, about how much raw footage do you record in process of making your show and about how long should it take to edit if I have a semi busy schedule.

Depending on the format (talking head, VO, broll w/music, etc.), expect to record 3-6 hours in a full day (could be more, could be much less), and at least 3-5 full days in post if you're doing it yourself.

one question , if my monitor and camera have different voltage is it bad to connect them directly to the battery with D-TAP splitter or shall I be aware of something? or shall I get a v mount plate with the different voltage inputs?

I'm using this one amzn.to/3OjM4PD and it does lag a bit (half a second or so). I imagine the 5.2 version (paired with 5.2 bluetooth earbuds) would have very little to no lag.

You can’t from my knowledge you’d have to retime the clips in post to get it at normal speed. That the only solution I’ve been able to come up with.

I just purchased the Smallrig battery plate and was wondering where you purchased the barrel 8V and 12V power connectors. I have the R5 and would like to power it using the USB-C. I guess I could build one but don't really want to do that unless absolutely neccessary. It seems that Smallrig does not supply any of those connectors except D-Tap with a barrel but I don't need that. Thanks for your help.

Btw Michael, do you have any experience based advice on choosing Gold vs V mount?
@davidp158
@davidp158 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the review. FWIW, I've read a number of reviews that the SmallRig's articulating arm can't support large V-mount batteries, which could be an issue for some. Q: Do you know if the Tilta's 8V and 12V outputs are regulated? Unregulated power can fry a camera, so I'd want to be 110% certain those are regulated before using them.
