it's really strange how songs can match your actual life so closely, it would be nice to have a different perspective though. i'm tired of listening to music that makes me think of the men i've loved in my life but having to think of them as women because of the actual lyrics. most women's music doesn't seem to have the same feel or match up in some of the same ways as men's music though. at least in my opinion & experiences, that seems just as odd to me.

Erik "Grim" Brødreskift is the blonde haired blue eyed version of a man i loved who introduced me to the Adicts music. i feel like i love them equally &they both went by the name Grim & unfortunately are both deceased. different people as far as i know tho.

I remember loving this design so much I made my own Vindictives T-shirt. Instead of the guy holding the hand of the clock though, it was a tie he was wearing, caught on the clock's hand. That was how I Imagined it, anyway. It was a mess.

I saw X play at Dante's in Portland some years back. They still sounded killer 30 some odd years after this came out. At one point I looked up at just the right moment, and Billy Zoom happened to look right at me, and he did a finger pistol at me and winked. 10/10, would wade through piss outside of Dante's to see them again.

I saw them in 2019 and they were unbelievably great! (and also I caught Exene's cold, lol). I also saw them in 1984 and Billy looked right at me! he also threw his pick out into the audience and I caught it! had it in my wallet for years.

@@mtheora5956 I saw them in SF on that tour and 2 weeks ago in Menlo Park. I brought my 23 year old son and he thought they were "awesome! They sound like their records!" I first saw them in 86 open for Warren Zevon. All these years later and they still rock hard - never ever disappoint. They just can't break up. I hope they play forever, even if it's just a 6-week tour every year.

This album was peak X: tuneful but ragged and raw. Loads of their other stuff was great too, but in myh view they never got the balance quite as right as this before or after.
