The reason it is a brown trout is because of the coloration of the spots vs the color of the body. When looking at a tiger trout, the body is darker then the squiggly lines. On a brown the color is lighter than the squiggly lines. This fish clearly has a light coloration of a body vs the brown wormlike lines, thus it is a brown trout. Also, tiger trout generally tend to have lighter lines on their fins because they are the offspring of Brook and brown trout, and Brook trout generally have lighter fins.

Indeed, a great day for you, Gunner. Another fun video to watch; been binging on your offerings. The Fork looks like a wonderful fishery. I live five minutes from a Corps of Engineers lake here in Missouri. No trout in it, but I have fun using my fly rods for white bass, panfish, largemouth bass, and an occasional walleye or channel cat. (It takes several hours for me to get to some trout holes in Missouri and Iowa.) Like you, I've been wielding the fly rod for but a few years, but have come to love it. Some questions for you: That 10-foot, 4-weight you have looks like a dandy outfit (my longest is a 9-foot, 5-weight). How does the 10-footer cast? Also, your 8-foot Fenwick -- what's the weight on that one? And what kind of indicator do you use? ... Hope I haven't been too long-winded (though I will add that I enjoy seeing the pages of Scripture you put up, which appear to be from the same NLT translation I use). Thanks for your time. Keep the videos coming, sir. Continued blessings!

Wow! First fly fishing-for-trout video I've seen with praise music as a background! You could have caught nothing, Gunner, and I still would have enjoyed the episode for the views and music. You've been ministering to me, sir. Thank you. Blessings!

Came across your video and delighted in seeing your USMC cap (my dad was a career Marine and WWII vet from Pittsburgh), watching you make my kind of coffee, and best of all, hearing you speak of Jesus. It touched my spirit. I realized the Lord had directed me to your episode! You sure did well in the face of less-than-ideal stream conditions. As a fellow fly fisherman, it was fun to watch. Continued blessings to you, sir.

Michael thank you for the kind comments about the video…You have to be very proud of your father who served in our Corps. Yes the stream conditions were not ideal but was able to catch a few! Yes my focus is the King of Kings sometimes I get it right and always try to insert a word of scripture in the video to take the light and shine it on the One. You have a great day and again thanks for the comment and encouragement.
