I'm pretty sure someone invented that. I have this exact quad in camo. Mine doesn't have that. But it's not needed. This is my first time seeing it.

And the oil filter is conveniently located under the hot exhaust manifolds. I love my Ranger but Polaris dropped the ball on oil filter location.
