It was a sad way to go. It is great that he can talk so openly about it, but at the same time, it must have affected him. He was a mighty man, to get up on stage, and talk about it.

Sadly enough, they weren't "in the wrong place at the wrong time" as fergyguitar said. It was a carefully planned assassination. Most likely their movements had already been monitored at their concert in Banbridge. Maybe even the name of the place (Buskhill = bus kill) was chosen on purpose. Great they are still remembered, great that Stephen, Des and Ray are still playing with the Miami. I read Stephen's book, it was really impressive.
