@JoelHayden I'm over 50 with some dry eye issues coming off of Acuvue Moist Toric lenses (vision was never great with those) and I'm doing trials with both multifocal and mono vision for the first time. Unfortunately my eye doc somehow got my dominant eye wrong (I'm cross/left eye dominant) so there's that problem already. Luckily my RX is similar in both eyes and once I switched contacts in my eyes I can tell it may be possible for the mono vision to work for me. I'm stuggling with the B&L Ultra multifocal for astigmatism because of the dry eye issue and think even if I changed them every two weeks they will be uncomfortable. My question for you is if I have to stick with mono vision (to stick with dailies for comfort) which contact do you currently recommend? I seem to have better vision/stability with Precision 1 over my Acuvue Moist but am curious about the B&L Infusion as well. Do you have a preference of one over the other or do you prefer a different lens entirely? I value your opinion since you are also a toric lens wearer and your obvious knowledge on the subject. Any information would be greatly appreciated. For reference my rx is OD -.25 -2.25 160 OS -.25 -1.75 170

I know its been 3 years but im 37 and just started trying contacts. My optometrist started me on acuvue oasys and they just were not comfortable at all to me. I just got my trial pair of the total30s and 1 hour in, i cant really even tell they are in my eyes! I cant believe how comfortable these are. 1 hour in with the oasys and id be blinking like crazy becauae they annoyed my eyes. Im going to wear these as close to 1 month if i can and if they are still great closer to day 30 i think i found my perfect lens. Otherwise i might go to the new precision 7 :)

Problem with fish oil is that it can cause problems with eliquis blood thinners.

I signed up with Davis Vision back in May 2024 by way of Heightenedhealthinsurance group(Third Party Selling Agent). It was a nightmare from the start. I was never put in the system. I call and emailed the customer service department several times for assistance prior to my eye exam in early July. I reached out to the Heightened Health Insurance customer service department and could never get in touch with them. I ended up paying out of my pocket for the exam, the eyeglass frame and lens. When I was finally able to reach them (Davis Vision), there was always a different excuse…..redirect me back to the Selling Agent and or finally told me was not eligible for the eye care benefits despite the contract I signed which I sent them as proof. After I cancel the entire contract, they both started calling, asking why I cancelled. No one wanted to fixed it or make it right once I ask for a reimbursement for a portion of the cost I spent on the eye exam and glasses. This video has been really helpful going forward. I am taking my time and making sure I really research the next company that I do business with. I would definitely stay away from Davis Vision if I was a new customer looking for an eye care benefits package.

I have Amd in both eyes. Wet in the right eye. Dry in the left. I get shots on my right eye which really hadn't helped. I losing vision in both eyes. Driving can be hard. I also have COPD

I had blepharitis few months ago. I got infected in a SPA treatment; the infection firstly hit one eye, so thatI went straight to the eye doctor - she prescribed me with an antibiotic + a cream to put in the eye few times a day. After 2 weeks the infection got to the other eye - the same eye doctor told me to do the same also for this eye, meaning cream in the eyes 3 times a day. After a month the situation was slightly better but not solved. The eye doctor told me that I'll have to have a surgery to remove the excessive "bubbles" on my eyelid. Scared of the surgery (4 days before that), I started to apply a mixure I created - Olive oil extra virgin together with coconut oil unrefined 100%. In 4 days, the bubbles and the infection went away. Additionally I presented myself at the doctor appointment, she checked my eyes and she sent me home :) Since that moment, I started to use my mixure at least twice a week. Blepharitis didn't come back since then. I highly recommend :)
