That flip was one of the wildest things I had EVER seen especially since it’s not the 1st time the Gen 7 has gone airborne at a non-Plate Track. Not to mention the Dillon/Hemric incident would’ve been awkward for me as a fan of both but Nemechek getting that Top 10 would’ve made up for it as a JHN fan I was away enjoying the nice weather instead until the adventure got cut short due to a family emergency. Ironic you post this right after the track has a little bit of damage from the Hurricane. But yeah, I’m glad you made this video as I’m in the same boat as everyone as this car has potential, it’s just NASCAR hasn’t done anything to legit actually make that a reality at Short Tracks and Road Courses and if Mexico City next Summer is a dud, the sport is in BIG trouble which also worries me for the Roval in 2 weeks. Also the 2015 Fontana incident involving KFB’s car and Gordon had David Ragan in the #18 and interestingly enough, that race was on my sister’s birthday which ironically was her Jeff Gordon year.

I really like this schedule revamp for next year except for the EA Sports 500 in the Round of 8 and running it back with the Roval again. The latter especially has run it’s course to the point where it’s about time to bring back the UAW-GM Quality 500 as in the Fall Charlotte Oval Race where in my opinion, the Roval lost it’s luster after 2021. And of course the return of Rockingham! I’m stoked about that so hopefully people actually show up so we can get the Winston Cup Series back there one day! All we need to do besides that is bring back Chicagoland and the Tropicana 400 and it’s perfect! Not to mention I’m happy that the Sylvania 300 and Sirius Satellite Radio 400 is back! Austin Dillon’s penalty is the biggest penalty in 2024 since the Team Penske Push 2 Pass penalty from St. Pete where Josef Newgarden was stripped from the win, Scott McLaughlin being stripped from 3rd place and Will Power being penalized 10 points What Joey Logano did was dangerous and personally, NASCAR needs family members (spouses and children) and sponsors in the grandstands or in the suites not in the pits because it gets hectic. I’ve gotten kicked out of the pits during Xfinity qualifying at Homestead 2016 (I was 17 years old at the time, now I am 25 years old) where I wasn’t in harm’s way.

I’m an Austin fan myself, I initially was excited in the heat of the moment and didn’t think anything of how ugly that was. After I was finally calm hours later, I had time to think about it and watch it over and over again and yeah, I’ve changed my mind on that even though he’s my driver and like you said, he was originally gonna win it regardless on speed as a runaway till the Stenhouse caution happened and without that happening, this controversy doesn’t exist which is why we can’t have nice things. Guess we’ll find out later on today how NASCAR will handle it with any possible penalties and if he gets some sort of penalty, I won’t even be angry because I’ll know that it’ll be rightfully deserved. But if he doesn’t, then so be it but at the same time I also wouldn’t agree with the call though the only I’ll say IF it doesn’t come to that is be better when you’re in position to get win #6 in the future!
