You don't actually need to remove the plastic screw. Once you've removed the two metal Torx screws, you can lift the headlamp up (from the end closest to the windscreen) far enough to access the bulb holder.

Was about to spend £200 on a starter motor as mine started doing this today, after spamming the start button I got it to start so definitely starter motor, I’ll try this in the morning before I throw money at it, thanks

My dash cam gets plugged into a power bank the power bank is fully charged I've never had an issue with it before, but lately after only having this dash cam since July this year I've noticed the screen won't come on but there is a blue light blinking when I plug it in. I've tried plugging it into a wall plug to charge over night and all I get is a black screen with a blue light blinking. Thinking it's the memory card I pulled it out and deleted all the videos but it didn't fix it

@MADMODS I found if I took out the memory card and used a pen to press the reset button on the bottom of the cam then put the memory card back in and it turned on like nothing was wrong with it

Thanks for this. Am hoping to replace the DAB amplifier in my ŠKODA Karoq as useless reception. I’m hoping it’s similar to this vid and assume the amplifier is the long thin part in the bottom right of your vid at the end of the vid.

it is and the boot plastic trim will be the same. can I ask have you had a dash cam fitted on the rear window as these cause lots of dab issues.

@@FINDITFIXITRESTOREITBUILDIT just managed to get the trim off. Unfortunately I don’t have a front or rear dash cam. I just removed the trim and can see the amplifier. It’s right next to the automatic tailgate bleeper speaker so not sure if that would cause interference. I removed the amplifier and the car doesn’t receive any DAB then buy funnily enough still receives FM really well so at least I know I’ve got the correct part number to replace. Have seen one on eBay so for the sake of £30 I might give it a go. I cleaned the existing one but it still doesn’t seem to receive Absolute 80s etc or any on the SDL range.

the fm is a different antenna and probably on the roof or other side of the rear window. nothing oem will affect it so the beeper won't. try a replacement booster or check it's getting power and no fuses have blown.

@@FINDITFIXITRESTOREITBUILDIT thanks. I’ve just ordered one from a scrapped 2023 model so newer then mine. I read on a Škoda forum that replacing the aerial amplifier helped someone else and they were having problems with the same stations as me so fingers crossed. The dealer I bought the car from leant me a Škoda Kamiq for a week whilst mine was being repaired and the Kamiq DAB was spot on and didn’t miss a beat. Škoda tested mine and said it works as it’s supposed to and probably just the area I live in but the Kamiq proved this not correct as worked fine. The trim in the boot was way easier to remove than the A pillar.

I'm confused as the manual taks about WiFi yet you are talking bluetooth? Also I can't get pairing mode to flash the light? How do I know if its switched on using the power button? There doesnt seem to be any indication from the lights. I have powered on and off I think using the USB plug. ad sometime the storage red light comes on?

I had just the standard nextbase cam and someone did a hit and run in a car park, causing £2140 worth of damage to my vehicle. Luckily, it keeps recording for 15 minutes and caught the old girl hitting my vehicle, best £69 ever spent ,I've just upgraded to one with the rear camera and a hard wire kit ,and will put on bump mode do you get any problems with the wind setting the camera off ? Thank you for the video. it is very clear and easy to understand 😊

you dont need internet on your phone, the camera sends out an wifi signal and you connect your phone with it, just like bluetooth, no data plan needed

your wrong there if parking mode is on and it isnt connected to anything it will come on...I wondered why my camera came on on its own all the time while messing with it in my living room and it was because parking mode was on, everytime I moved it would come on.

EU law handed down to car manufacturers. All obd ports have to be open, so no coding specific to vehicle or car etc and they all have to be located easily accessible by the drivers knee. Nice.

I was lucky enough to have both cams in my car when I bought my lexus, seems a lot of lexus have them, must be a dealer favourite. Connected easily when I got the app, just need an SD card now 😅

Best to leave the speed recording on, unless you habitually ignore the speed limit, it might help you if the fuzz try to stitch you up. Likewise, its best not to record your registration number as a video you record maybe used as evidence and it will be traceable back to you by some nasty villain.

the commission on these are really good for the dealership and there easy to use and a fit and forget camera.
