I think why people think "it's weird" is because there is a big difference between taking a sandwich and apple, versus pouring cold water onto food and letting it set and soften up and then eaten cold. closest and only thing that comes to mind is cereals in the morning and swedish muesli with grated carrot and apple with dried fruit that I saw in a ww2 wartime kitchen and garden series. ( I have made a swedish muesli version of overnight oats and let them soak with chopped carrot and apple while I slept) next day add a bit more water and go to town on it.

I enjoy your videos so much. I have the smaller Suluk stakes and think they are leagues ahead of any other 6" UL stakes. I have had my eyes on the eye-wateringly-expensive larger Suluk stakes for a while but my wallet has been hesitating - I wonder what you make of them a year and hundreds of miles later?

Another excellent video! My guess is that future archaeologists excavating the remains of your former home will conclude that a leading utensil designer used to inhabit the site!

Cold noodles on a cold day. Hard no. I'd rather bring a firebox and a titanium pot. Plus you can have hot coffee/ tea in the morning. All for less than a pound. kzbin.info/www/bejne/kKmpaYmIe5V6gsk

Hi: I was fortunate enough to find your channel 2 weeks ago. I watched all your GDT and AT videos. Out of all the trail videos I watch on the AT, CDT, PCT, GDT and AZT I particularly loved yours hands down. Your editing, no bull, soft spoken personality is a joy to view. Can't wait for your next adventure. Which brings me to my question. What is your next through hike? CDT, or PCT

Thank you so much for your kind words and support! I'm thrilled you enjoyed my videos.... I'm even happier you took the time to share. Currently I have lots of issues at home so its all up in the air...but I've short lists the East Coast Trail and the Arizona Trail... with some luck I will get to one or both of them in 2024 (wish me luck)

This is the section I worry about the most because there are no bail out points.
@Campology

I have to admit that I was worried about this too. But going northbound made it easier, for these reasons; your trail legs were strong, Your pace was fast and we blasted through it with confidence. If you were going southbound from Katahdin, I suspect it would have been more difficult. Thanks for reaching out and happy hiking.

hi Dudley, thanks for uploading such a nice video. I was just wondering how easy or hard this trail is compared to the Algonquin Western Uplands, Im looking to do this trail on a 2 day hike, and not sure if it's as doable as the Western Uplands. Thank you.
@Campology
@Campology 2 ай бұрын
I'm glad you enjoyed the video! The trail is definitely different from the Algonquin Western Uplands, yet I would suggest the difficulty is about the same... and 2 days is doable but ambitious. Unless you are an experienced backpacker I would plan for 2 nights and 3 days. I can do it in 2 days but I travel ultra light and hit the trail at 6am.

Dudley!!!!!! I'm not sure if you remember me but we met the morning you were heading into Manchester, my name is Almost There. I was a solo long trail thru hiker heading north. I just have to say, you're videos are superb. The way you edit these makes it feel like I'm watching a short film, just stunning! Keep up the great work

Dudley here, of course, I remember you! You were the one who beat me in that epic race to Manchester, right?... You got the hitch and I didn't... I always suspected because you are better looking!!! Mega Plus... thanks for the kind words about the videos... FYI I edited chapters 1-15 in my tent...and chapters 16-24 at home ( I was tired of trying to find hot spots to upload and spending quality camp time editing videos)

You did an amazing job with your whole series. Sad to see the end but it was an amazing journey. I feel honored to have met you Brawn and all the other great folks out there. I'll be heading to do the PCT next year. Can't wait to see your next adventure. Veggie

Hey Dudley. I'm curious to know what is the longest stretch you can do on the Bruce trail sleeping in your tent ? Thanks
@Campology
@Campology 2 ай бұрын
Depends… there are very few places for “official tenting”…. But if you are willing to discreetly stealth camp… you could camp every night. There are stretches with limited public lands.. so it could be illegal. An option is knocking on doors and ask permission to pitch your tent in field or back yards. It’s not easy.
