Hi Andreas, I’m new here and to the Etsy world… Do you have customers pay shipping or do you offer free shipping on your products?
@wtfamievendoing
@wtfamievendoing 9 сағат бұрын
Hey! Welcome to the Etsy world hah! I've used both and both works, however it's worth noting that a free shipping model on your store works better if you focus on group listings or on higher volume orders as with a paid shipping model you would lose the shipping cost when someone orders over $35 if you use the free shipping guarantee over $35. But both can definitely work, there's not a definite answer, it's all in how you choose and prefer to approach Etsy, hope that helps!

There is absolutely no advantage to VAT and there is no value being added, taxes pay for parasites. Legislators, politicians, landlords and their guard dogs, you're not saving anything by paying vat. You're just not losing the parasite charge in the first place if you have a tax ID, Throughout history, many societies thrived with absolutely no tax and in fact you cannot tax a nation into prosperity so quit the mental gymnastics of trying to say vat is of any benefit to anyone... its not. Your productivity gives fiat currency its value, the parasite class who produce nothing have made up the rules and rigged the game in their favor. This is why they pay no taxes, can afford anything and you and I pay for everything yet can afford so little. We are cattle.

Hi, Andreas! Thanks for the video. I have a video request and I think there are a lot of sellers from outside of USA that would be interested :) It would be awesome to talk about how different it is to run a POD shop as an European. I know there was a video you made with Cassiy, but maybe something a bit more in-depth. Maybe you have some recommendations for European software/apps used for managing the financial stuff or accountants that do that for you. Maybe talk about different types of business forms etc. Cheers!

I do have videos on those topics actually, they're kinda spread out through different videos. When it comes to programs and financial stuff it's really different from country to country, I only have Swedish programs from what I know of here and my accountant only Swedish programs as well as the programs are tailored to Swedish tax law. So I don't think I can help with that as it's so specific to each country. I do talk about different business forms and related stuff in this video, hopefully this one can answer a lot of stuff! kzbin.info/www/bejne/ipTRYXaEZtami5Isi=aN6b2OkBABs-Hzi5

we are a bit confused regarding the mock up (thanks etsy to always put so much confusion). As we cleary sees following best sellers that the mock ups you choose are the winners but etsy says we have to use original printify mock ups to look like final printed products ( There may be tolerance for those who already sell a lot, but for us, we are a little worried.). And when we add our design there is a little difference between size and placement. We gonna try ab test regarding listings with original printify mock ups and winners mock up but we are navigating in confusion on that point. thanks for your lights.

Hi Andreas, great video! Thank you for all the explanations; you clarified a lot for me. I do have a question about running ads on newly listed items. Is it okay to spend on ads right away, or should I wait until I make a few organic sales first?
@wtfamievendoing
@wtfamievendoing 9 сағат бұрын
I'm glad it cleared up some stuff for you! It depends a bit on your risk tolerance. I launch my listings with ads, so I have ads on them until the start. I spend $10 on the listing, if the listing has hit my breakeven ROAS then I keep it on. If it hasn't then I turn it off and go to the next one. If your conversion rate is under 4% then there are more things that needs optimization as you need to convert to make ads work. In that case I'd recommend only using ads on your listings that already sell as that's the safest way to run ads

What do you think about not using Etsy ads but instead uploading 10 listings every day, fully optimized, for six months straight?
@wtfamievendoing
@wtfamievendoing 9 сағат бұрын
I've tried a lot of stuff and the organic way of doing Etsy doesn't scale as much as using ads. I've done over 200K in profit in the last 2 years selling on Etsy and ads was a big contributor to that. So I think it depends a bit on your goals, if you wanna keep it very passive and only bring in extra money then I think it could work, but if you really wanna see where you can take this then I would highly recommend using ads

@@wtfamievendoing Thank you for your detailed response! When it comes to ads, I'm uncertain about budgeting. I’m wondering how much I should spend in total per month - $10 or $5 daily? I really have no idea what would be reasonable. What do you think about this? Additionally, I believe that a listing, once it works because ads are running, is probably only successful as long as the ads remain active. You know what I mean? At least, that’s my thought, but it could be wrong.
@wtfamievendoing
@wtfamievendoing 8 сағат бұрын
@@laz6133 Gotcha, so the budget on Etsy is a cap, it's not a budget per se. See it as it cannot spend more than the amount you set per day, which means that you wanna set it as high as possible as long as you are converting well (at least 4% or more in conversion rate). The easiest way in the beginning is to just set a budget that feels a little bit higher than you're comfortable with and only putting listings that are your great sellers on ads. If you only put ads on things that work then you generally won't spend the full budget anyhow and it gives you an easy start to ads

Many people are no longer trusting Etsy. This is why. What other business is allowed to shut your business down without notice, phone number to contact etc. None. If another business did this they'd be held accountable to those as yourself who did nothing wrong. Other platforms are rising up since AI and Etsy unfortunately will have some issues in the future if they don't take control and fix their broken procedures. No need for closing people without giving them a window of opportunity to fix whatever it is. Not in this day and age and technology we all have access to.

People will buy stuff that they like as long as it has a reasonable price, and if your design is what they want, the likelihood that they will get it with little hassle and if they can get it fast then that will get you rank. That's my take on it, when I did research on this with the old 35$ free shipping guarantee the same thing applied

So Printify recently did some experiments with items shipped from the same POD provider. I think they might make some changes with the results from that. However as it is right now, if you buy a sweatshirt or a t-shirt from the same POD provider, you will pay first item shipping on both items as they are different product categories. If you buy 2 t-shirts from the same POD provider, one will have first item shipping and the other will have the additional item charge which is like half the shipping charge. This is why it's so important to go for big margins

This seems to be my most underperforming video I've ever had lol, so does not seem to be much demand here for Amazon Ads unfortunately

@@wtfamievendoingI’m sure it will get better esp as more and more Etsy ppl will start doing Amazon. I’m game for that content. All ad campaigns.

Thanks Andreas. I appreciate these tips. One caution with the LLC. In Canada (not sure how much it is in US) but to have and maintain a corporation is about $5000 a year plus book keeping costs to run. The tax advantages are good if you are selling about 70k + in PROFIT a year but anything less, it's not worth it. I would say for new sellers until you have a track record start as a sole prop. If you gain huge traction then switch when it makes sense to

Gotcha, the most important thing related to Etsy is just to know that you can't switch later on as they don't allow transfers of shops. But good points!

Glad you find value in the content! Yes, I would strongly recommend to follow the steps in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qYHSi3x_bb5knrMsi=5D9arnSuLFrtHcch If you do all of your designs based on the research from the master list I think you'll find more success

The master list you discussed, I’ve not seen this done before, & feel I’ve watched a lot of pod videos. Do you have a video where you cover just that? How you approach it etc?

Another great video, Andreas! It’s also best to post your listings 8-12 weeks in advance of the peak season, right? I’m happy to report that I immediately doubled down on a design that was working in one niche and tailored it for a different niche and people bought them together! Woo woo! 🎉😆

@@wtfamievendoing there are 9 type of products selling great at printify as you said. And 30 listing must be listed everyday. How many type of product should we have in shop? Max 2 type product ? Or try and switch in between different every month ? I have 3 different products . Is this enough do you think ? Doubling down !
