How useful is this lens inside, for example on travel if you go inside buildings, churches, museums? Is it too slow for good pictures?
@TLDAcademy10 күн бұрын
Hey Ddron, thanks for watching and for the great question! Honestly, the Nikon 28-400mm f/4-8 lens isn’t the most ideal for low-light situations, like inside churches, museums, or dimly lit buildings. The variable aperture of f/4-8 means it doesn’t let in as much light as faster lenses (like f/2.8 or prime lenses with wider apertures), so you’ll likely need to push your ISO higher, which can introduce noise. In my video, I used the lens at night and you probably noticed the ISO getting pushed pretty high-that was to show what you can expect in similar low-light scenarios. Those were JPEGs straight out of the camera, so there’s definitely room for improvement if you shoot in RAW and process your photos afterward. That said, the lens can still work indoors if you’re careful. Steadying your camera with a tripod or bracing against something will help avoid motion blur. If you’re using a newer Z-series body, its in-body stabilization and solid high-ISO performance can make a big difference too. You just need to take your time and be patient with your shots. If you thought the photos in my video were decent, you can definitely get some use out of the lens indoors while traveling, especially with a bit of care and good technique. It’s versatile, but it does require working around its limitations in low light.

How do you start making content and the program I should need to editing videos
@TLDAcademy15 күн бұрын
Hey whats up!! Thanks for the question. Let me answer both questions: 1. Start making content by grabbing any camera you have access to and film something! It could be your walk to a nearby coffee shop, or a piece of art you're working on. Perhaps you have some self-help knowledge that you'd like to inspire other people with! There is all kinds of content you can capture, perhaps just start with what you're passionate about. 2. If you don't have access to a computer, CapCut is a great program to edit your content in. If you do have access to a computer, something like Adobe Premiere would work just fine.

Okay, I’ve owned APSC from Sony, Pentax, Canon, Fuji and now the Nikon Z50ii as of today with both kit lenses and wow this camera has given me peace. Yes now I finally feel complete with my Nikon. Yes I do have a new Full frame, A new 1inch pocket camera and a new GoPro. But this Nikon just seems like my very capable EDC and I will get the 12-28mm zoom lens next and probably a 30 to 35mm prime that will get me my fast nifty 50. Oh did I mention the supreme video capabilities. And it’s a simple plug and play web cam. I have also traveled to many countries and Nikons seem to me to be bulletproof.

@TLDAcademy2 ай бұрын
Hey! Thanks for the watch. Honestly, the Z 50 and the Z 30 are still great options in 2024 in my opinion. I haven't had personal experience with the R50 and Sony a6400/zve10, but I think the arguments made in my video are still valid. You're going to get the most bang for your buck with the Nikon camera's. The Z 30 especially! I know I said that I would prefer the Z 50, but in today's content creator market...the Z 30 just works better for me, which is why I bought a used one from KEH.com for a really great price!
