How long does a silk press last on grey hair?
@SimplyTamika12 күн бұрын
I depends on upkeep. It can last just as long on grey hair as it does on non grey hair. Silk presses can last 3-4 weeks if maintained well.

Hi, thank you so much for this tutorial. I know you mentioned the skinny serum. I thought I heard you also mention using a leave in. Would that be before or after revving? If after, won't it revert the hair? I'd appreciate your insights
@SimplyTamika13 күн бұрын
The leave-in would be put on before the serum.

How do you feel about it now? I loved the old formula and wear my hair curly. My curls are dry and frizzy with the new one. Anyone else have this issue too?
@eyme.xАй бұрын
I’m interested to see the outcome of repeated use of the RevAir on a person’s hair in a couple of years. I’m concerned about the idea of sticking hair into a hole that is hot and keeping there in the hot air, and you can’t see what’s going on with the hair, the oldest part of the hair is getting tugged on first which goes against professional blow drying techniques..🤔 It’s an interesting idea but I definitely think I’ll wait a few more years to see the results of long term use before I buy into it. The hair looked good though.
@shanitamorenita5 күн бұрын
Me too. But I think it’s way gentler than brushing through the hair repeatedly with a blow dryer attachment or a Revlon brush type. Less tugging, less manipulation and less breakage.
@eyme.x5 күн бұрын
@ I’ve actually never gotten breakage from using my blow dryer and a brush, also, I feel that I can control the amount of heat I’m using on my hair with a blow dryer because I keep the blow dryer moving so it never stays in 1 spot for long, and I can put more distance between the dryer and my hair if needed to make the heat less concentrated, and I don’t have anything constantly pulling at my ends. But with RevAir I see that’s not possible, you have no control over what’s happening in that tube besides changing the temperature on the machine. So that’s pretty concerning to me

What styles does she do when she is not silk pressed
@schsas77432 ай бұрын
When I started shampooing and conditioning 2 to 3 times a week is when I noticed how healthy and quick growing my hair became before I was washing once a week. It is tailbone length and now every 3 to 4 months I am cutting off about 5 inches to keep it tailbone as I don't want it longer. Took me 1 month in the beginning to see changes. Less shedding less tangles, hair just overall looking and feeling better. The new growth just stronger and more supple. I can't say enough that people need to wash their hair much more often

Is her hair permed or treated in some way? Her curl pattern is already pretty loose. How does this routine compare to tightly coiled hair?
@SimplyTamika2 ай бұрын
No but her curls are loosened some because of constantly wearing it straight. She’s a straight natural so she gets silk presses pretty often.

I'm waiting for my order now. How do you feel about comb vs brush detangling? No tools at all? I would love to hear you input. ❤
@SimplyTamika2 ай бұрын
Thanks for ordering! I’m so excited for you. I prefer a brush but nothing is set in stone when it comes to hair care. If you are more comfortable using a comb to detangle your hair, it’s nothing wrong with that. I know that some people finger detangle as well. Nothing wrong with that either as long as your hair is being detangled properly.

I remember trying this when I was little and it doesn’t work. We have to be so for real with ourselves 😭. Hair cannot grow one inch overnight. If anything maybe this mixture relaxes the hair and gives it the appearance that it has gotten longer, but it doesn’t actually grow. Hair takes time to grow and only with a good consistent hair care routine will your hair actually grow longer.

It depends on how straight you want your hair. Try high on tension setting 5 or 6. You really have to experiment some to find out what setting works best for you.

Her hair is beautiful, but I wish she had let you cut where the 100% opacity starts. It looks so raggedy towards the ends because it's clearly thin. I had my stylist cut what was needed yesterday and she was shocked by my willingness to let her. It was about 3 or 4 inches, but I want my hair looking tight and right. 😂
