I also DETEST these switches. Unfortunately my current problem (a four wand plant grow-light) has a wire with five sub-wires (white, black, red, green, and yellow) where it enters the switch; normal red and black where it exits the switch, ie toward the plug. Thus still mystified how to fix this. If you are monitoring these comments and have the answer, I would be very grateful, esp since this is bound to happen with my several grow-lights.

Hello Ryan - I found your video searching for oyster mushroom smell. My mycelium used to grow very fast and in 2 days had 2cm thick white healthy fluffy layer on top. Mycelium used to smell very nice like a spicy lip balm. But that new smell was bit chemical and not pleasant. Like a man who had nothing to wear and took his dirty sweaty tshirt from laundry and got sweaty again. Old musky smell. It isn`t like pickles or vinegar - nothing sour. But mycelium looks healthy and perfect like a fresh snow. Is it normal or what could it be?
@TinyWorldLaboratory2 ай бұрын
You'll have to wait and see what shows up but unfortunately my very limited knowledge tells me not pleasant smells are not good. If you don't see any green or black or anything like that though I'd just let er ride.
@abmsdwb2 ай бұрын
@@TinyWorldLaboratory Thank you for the response, Ryan. I found out that this chemical musky metal smell is octenol - a natural metabolite that being produced exactly in one week after planting when mycelium forms a thick coat on top. Its annoying but natural - mushrooms shouldn`t smell like that after. I`m trying to cultivate wild pleurotus columbinus and it acts feral:)))
