Plato talks in their theories about the establishment of the ideal state. Why he wants to establish ideal state?? Because He didn't like democracy which is prevalent at that time. According to him, 1 Democratic Government was responsible for the defeat of Athens in Peloponisan war (431- 404BC). The internal corruption within the democratic system was the main cause for Athenian defeat. 2 The charge of disrespecting Greek gods and corrupting the youth of the society Each and every thinker is the product of his time. Plato born in 427 BC and he died in 347 BC . Socrates was the teacher of Plato and Plato was one of the disciple of Socrate. Plato is also known as father of political philosophy. As his ideas are normative in nature. It was more emphasis on the values. Considered as a most influencial thinker from the western political thought tradition. Plato's important work's - 1 The Republic (380BC) 2 The Statesman (360BC) 3 Laws (350BC)
