hi Seaward team, The PV200 serial number in my battery compartment is only 7 digits, while the serial number requested in the Solarcert software is 12 digits, what should I do?

July 2024: Years have passed since this video was posted and i cannot find out any details of the improvements made to the 600+ in that time?. Tell us the datails of how this piece of kit has improved. Come on Seaward, has the company gone stagnant? Where's the CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT where's the INNOVATION.

if only this showed your actual wire set up for each test. this is a great video if you have the manual with the procedures but are unsure what a human finger would look like pressing the buttons mentioned in said procedure.

I’ve successfully refreshed my knowledge regarding PAT testing, as I’ve done my course years ago, but also I’ve learned plenty of new things and techniques to carry out testing in correct manner. How do you test a 110v extension lead? I'm using the 110v adapters but they keep failing so I must be doing something wrong 🤔

Hello from New Zealand. I have been watching some of your content. As an apprentice electrician have been looking in to a cost effective meter and just received my power test 200. It's a great bit of kit. Everything is quality and I look forward to many years of service from it. The video content is great and I have learnt some good things to support me theory work in regards to testing. And seeing this video and seeing the scale of the company and products you produce is what made me choose the power test. The fact that it's British built is also has great appeal.

This is probably a silly question, but if you're applying 500V or 1500V to an appliance for some tests, isn't there a risk of the test itself damaging the appliance? I'm thinking mainly of electronic items.

Why do you need to connect the earth lead on a class 2 test

wouldn't you use a probe on a class 1 to check the appliance has all the internal earth connections joined or is this overkill? thanks

I get the settings. However, It fails to load all 24548 results because it doesn't seem to have enough memory capacity to do so. This means I can't seem to delete the files, which means the device becomes slower and slower...

Generally very good and I will recommend this series to students. I would take issue with a couple of things in this part. Firstly 50 Hz mains does not change direction 50 times per second, but 100 times per second. A complete cycle of changes, returning to the same point, takes 1/50 second. (Before the hertz was invented, we used cycles per second which made it more obvious.) Secondly, kVA was mentioned when giving examples of how we express power, but it is not a measure of power.

I am an electrician and while doing a PAT test I have found on a couple of situations the socket on the wall does not have an Earth. So the equipment is ok but if a fault occurs. I always check the wall socket

If we carry out vision inspection on the power adapter and laptop but cannot test it with our pat tester do we still charge this as a business. So instead of charging for the power lead only do we charge for adapter and laptop ?

How do you change the date of the manually added test result? - the date field is not editable and is defaulting to today's date.

When you click No All it only brings the unique assets and doesn't include the duplicate ones, why is not possible to import all regardless of having an asset ID that's there multiple times but at different locations?

Hi, Got a query regarding substitute leakage test results.. I am taking the 5th edition in Nov 2022 and on page 99 of the book ES1 Limits are 2 mA DC or 0.5 mA rms AC BUT in your video its 0.25 mA CLASS II..been using your videos to train me up but getting a little confused.
