Enjoyed your video as I followed the link from Adam. I enjoy the scenery that you all provide as I don’t see that type of scenery. I am from the SW corner of Missouri where we have rolling hills. You all seemed to be having a great ride.

Thank you for the video and Chapeau on your achievement! I have a couple of geared bikes and a single speed. My go-to bike for longer rides was my single speed. It was Reynolds steel, 48:18 gearing and took 32mm slick tyres. Unfortunately, I was hit by a van a couple of months back - I suffered broken bones, torn cartilage and assorted soft tissue damage, but I will heal. My bike was written off. I have a replacement bike now, and plan to do a ride similar to this, or London-Paris next year. Keep up the great videos and ride safe :-)

Chapeau!! It's now August 20th 2023 and the PBP has just started. All these great vids are inspiring me to have a go but I'll be 70 in 2027. I'll try for an SR in the next couple of years and see whether my body is up for it or if it's just a pipe dream. I'm amazed by your energy through tough times. Well done!

This got me excited about PBP2023. Like the one guy in the start saying 'do it now, next time I'll be too old, now or never'. -- What was your final time?
@allvaleriano3 жыл бұрын
I did it fixed too. :-) Would be nice to be riding along with another person on a fixie. Sadly we didn't see each other there. I'm going back in 2023, but my fixie brevets are over after 5 years of full series in 2 different countries.

Why are you doing the PBP? I went out cycling one day and fell in with the wrong crowd. You were cycling with my club at about 10.30

I rode a 600km this weekend too, but only took a few photos and short videos, certainly not enough for a vlog. Well done on doing both with great results.

great video. silly question. do you have to sleep at the checkpoints? or can you choose to sleep in hotels/B+Bs/hostels etc? Would love to do something like this, but i need a good 5hrs + sleep in a bed otherwise i stop working properly...
@ceindeg914 жыл бұрын
No you don't have to sleep at the controls. I think hotels/B&Bs need to be booked far in advance though! I quite like the flexibility of a control sleep, but then it can be tricky when they run out of space.
