My uncle, who took me in when I was 14 from a broken life and broken family. Took me sailing all over the Chesapeake. Some of the best times of my entire life.

Guys don't try to catch perfection by trying learning this knot when you still struggling with the original bowline version!
@Cutie.banana814 күн бұрын
I did this at a school camping trip and we learned to tie this knot. All the girls in my camping trip tried this on a tree and it works greatly for a ton of weight, all the girls in my group held on the rope it never broke. Real easy to untie.

Cool to see someone in the US has one. I would love this boat for cruising the lakes here in Northern Idaho. This would be a perfect boat for overnight trips.

Yes and i'm sure the designer of the boat thinks that advantage is well worth the cost of 2x hydaulics and guages and nav computers and sensor systems... $$$$$

You could also end up spending half your time sorting out clogged up engines and diesel tanks with diesel bug.. and paying a fortune on fuel if you want to go anywhere like across the Pacific .. There's another alternative called a versa helm one wheel you can swing from one side of the boat to the other. The real answer is move the helm to the middle/front getting cooked and soaked/frozen at the back end of a sail boat is strictly for old monohull racers and masochists..😂⛵ get a dingy for that stuff ... If you want to travel and live aboard get a Cat.

Depends on the kind of dock you're tying to. Most in area rise and fall with the tides, a lot of coves in southern New England. I see most owners leave just enough room to slip in a bumper, the height from dock to deck never changes.
