Revisiting all this after god knows how many times, and what gets me with this performance is how effortless she makes it look. Drinking tea, giving the piano a love pat, like it's nothing.

The definitive version. I hear the piano from this any time I listen to the album version, which is beautiful but more spare and electronic. This version feels like the full realization of the song. Just heartbreaking.

Mark Hawley is a genius with live vocal effects. He's so good at accenting just one word or using delay to make a belt linger. He really doesn't get enough credit.

The skill. The mastery. The sound. How does she do it? Tori is not merely a musician; she is a force-an elemental presence shaping the unseen into form. Her genius is a mystery, a profound connection to something greater, pulling threads of the infinite into melodies that transcend time. How... does she to do it

This is an amazing version, but I heard this rendition live the first time on that tour? Mind. Melted. Never in my life, before or since. Second most amazing musical experience of my life (first being Plant/Krauss redoing When the Levee Breaks Jazzfest 08)

It's almost painful to see how young, powerful, skilled and exquisitely beautiful Tori was at this time, knowing that she and all of us are mortal, and that everything put together sooner or later falls apart. Forgot all those belters and such - she was the greatest English language vocalist of the 1990s.

She still is amazing, and performing. Still, I doubt we will ever see the likes of Tori at her peak ever again.

They are all playing with their semi professional but that’s the entire entertainment history of I would say primarily post 1960s but even then there was a lot of semi professionalism going on but now it’s just has gone down to a lot of people who are not even professional at all they know nothing about music these people… but they do know about entertainment and business, and how to make money.

Just know that anyone who is brave enough to make and share music, wether written or interpreted amd performed, is doing their part to remind others of the beauty and heartbreak, the hope and longing inherent in this journey we make together into becoming human. I have an opinion about the production of your effort, but what does it matter. Keep making music amd do it your way. I do think the doubling of the vocal is a bright innovation that really works for your interpretation of this iconic piece of music. Good luck to you. Keep playing. No matter.what. No matter what someone says. No matter what you say to yourself in moments of.doubt..Cultivate a high standard for yourself and work hard to reach for it. Sing like your life depends on it. Music is.a.sacred thing. Respect it and your ability. Be well.

Im 45 and a lifelong metal head. I remember when I was about 15 or 16 and my girlfriend got a Tori Amos cd. I’ve been listening to her ever since. When she plays live and I look into her eyes it puts me in a trance. She has some magical powers.
