Hey ArchitectOfRapture, at the moment there are two ways of getting the film with English Subtitles First is via Itunes, where death of a shadow can be bought separately or as part of the complete Oscar Nominated package of 2013 itunes.apple.com/us/movie/dood-van-een-schaduw-death/id603558204 Then also as part of something called 'Selected Shorts' shipping out of Belgium, which bundles the best Flemish Shorts of the year in a package, combining DVD & Blu-ray. Just saw this the other day as part of a short film festival here in New Zealand, so glad I was able to watch the full short film, it's fantastic and I throughly enjoyed every bit of it, such a unique idea with beautiful filming and acting. Well done! Wish I was able to watch it again and show people!

I think Show Me Shorts is still playing it a few times if you want to check it out or recommend it on the big screen. I thought this was the most visual stunning and interesting story of the Oscar short films. It easily could become a full length tale unlike the others and I felt the storyline fit the 20 minute time frame without being redundant. I doubt it will win but it would be my vote.

My favorite of the 5 nominated shorts. I'm so hoping it becomes a full-length feature at some point - the concept was so unique and invigorating and suspenseful, I didn't want it to end. A perfect film.

Hey Vlaerenko, de film duurt 20 minuten, hij zal zeker in bepaalde zalen (zij het bioscopen of culturele centra) te zijn zien, het waar en wanneer is nog even voor ons onduidelijk en hangt van een aantal factoren af. De winst gaat daar niet de doorslag geven, voor mij is ook deze nominatie echt al een winst en wordt qua prestige ook algemeen door de bioscopen en zaaluitbaters hopelijk zo beschouwd. Maar zeker facebook/website/twitter van de film volgen, daar zet ik de screeningdata op.

hoe lang duurt de kortfilm en wordt deze ongeacht oscar binnenrijving uitgebracht in de bioscoop of arthouse?

Ik heb alvast verlof genomen om de Oscarsuitreiking te volgen, want als we het beeldje pakken wil ik het live meemaken...Heb de trailers van de tegenstanders bekeken en zie in 'Kubashi Boys' uit Afghanistan een geduchte concurent...cinefotografisch knap! Om nog maar te zwijgen over de andere kandidaten. Het zal zeker spannend worden dit jaar,...in alle categorieën trouwens!

awel ik had er nog nie van gehoord voor de oscar nominatie , maar nu ik de trailer heb gezien ben ik reuze benieuwd en wil ik dit voor geen goud missen ik wil hem zo rap mogelijk zien :D
