Great video again Would you compare jp6 vs Rg1070 with Dream theater heavy riff song?

Minor tone difference since premium model hs stainless steel fret vs j.custom nickel fret.
@revelationsoundstudio5 күн бұрын
Tone wise the Les Paul is thicker. The PRS is not bottom heavy like the LP. It also has easier access to the high frets and the D and G strings stay in tune better on the PRS as it has the inproved headstock whete the strings are straighter

fender sounds like the other guitar with the tone rolled off...are all the settings the same? i'm surprised by the difference! Rangka sounds better overall for my playing style. But your other videos had me conflicted with the James Tyler, Ibanez, Etc.
@cgb139410 күн бұрын
i'm surprised how close they sound. i would own both if i could, different tools for different jobs! Overall I think I like the ultra bridge better. And the dynamics of the Ibanez neck pickup are kind of unique. Sounds like a humbucker until you dig in and it delivers a nice thump. The Fender neck was overall more dynamic and a bit more bright overall more like a single coil comparably.

i've been listening to all your Ultra stratocaster comparisons. It has a very curious spongey tone, almost like the attack is softened as you dig in. It is a cool sound and very midrangey to me. Sounds like nothing else I've heard. Maybe better if you want to sound unique! I would love to see a video about the Ultra SSS strat!! comparioson

Nice review but I would've rather seen you do it with no overdrive, just amp and guitar clean mode. The overdrive does a lot of the sustain work.

Now I see why people still piss on Dimarzio and keep supporting Seymour Duncans all these years. The punch is stronger on SD pickups. I might invest on these pickups when have the time and money to do so.

Listening with headphones, they sound very similar…which is a good thing because I’ve owned and played Andersons and there is a dealer reasonably close to me…. I’ve been considering getting a Tyler, but have never owned one, and there are no dealers close to me (closest one is 10 hours away by drive).

The neck on many Suhr custom is compound, rounder at the nut and flatter towards the body, I like this a lot because makes playing chords easier while maintaining shred capabilities. I have Fender(2 Strats, one Erick Johnson and a Select), Ibanez( 2 RG, prestige and a normal one), Music Man(JP15 and JP11 7strings) & a Suhr Custom, for me the best is between the Suhr Custom & Music man JP15. For the money I would say the JP15 is the best because I payed 5400 USD for the Suhr and yes, it is a little better and looks more premium but not 2k+ better than the JP15 that is also super premium and well built
Of course, if there is a sound difference, the ESP has 81-85, while the Schecter has an 81TW bridge at the bridge and an 89R at the neck.

There are only a SMALL handful of guitars I've owned over my 38 years of playing/teaching/buying/selling/building guitar that remained "factory" because the choices were perfect from the factory. Kramer's in the mid 80's were my only completely factory guitars due to the straplock system. 85 pacer, 86 Stagemaster standard, 89 stagemaster deluxe. I just acquired a 07 Ibanez S520EX which has these pickups your discussing. I think their fantastic, I wouldn't change a thing. Factory keeper ! And im now (for now) using those little rubber strap saver doo dads. 22 fret wizard 2..... forget about it. Could have saved a fortune on guitars. And why am i just now discovering that bearing supported super floyd rose style bridge. Between that, the neck profile, the weight, the balance, the killer pickups with the killer 5 way switch options.... throw in the adjustable rear claw and the zero point bar keeping bending notes (especially unison bends) in check with the other notes. Pffttt, you may as well call this thing the perfect guitar. Ahhh, I nearly forgot about the intonation tool included that lives on the front.
