Wife and I cruised on her for our honeymoon in August 2000 it was our first and only cruise ever; we figured it out pretty quickly that cruising was not for us. However, it was a very pleasant experience good to the Grand Caymans and Cozumel. The staff was great!

My daughter was working on the ship as part of the Entertainment team when the boiler accident occurred .. it was very traumatic for her and I thought she would never sail again, but she went on to do four more cruise contracts

I was a piano player on this ship in the summer of 1990. Such a fun time. Great ship with an awesome crew.

Yes I too sailed on her. I believe it was the first time I sailed in a balcony room. I had been on the Nordic Prince and the Song of America. It saddens me that these wonderful ships were dismantled. I think the Song of America is being scrapped this year 2024. Breaks my Heart.

I sailed on Sovereign and Monarch of the Seas. Sovereign was my favorite ship. Monarch was her sister ship but didn't exactly look or feel like the same ship. I wish they would go back to that style ship because the new ones are too large. Jewel of the Seas is as big as I'll go.

Stinkin Paul Willey saved that man. Hero 1st class. The "Captain" should be behind bars.

NCL lavished funds on her passenger accommodations while woefully neglecting her engines which led to the terrible tragedy that unfolded

Sailed on the monarch of the seas for my honeymoon in May 1994. Went on the Sovereign and majesty. All beautiful ships. In Fodors or Frommers, it described the ships as floating Hyatts. It set the standard for the huge ships to come along. They were smaller ships but beautiful

This was my first cruise in the early 90s. I remember getting a trip manifest - a book with the names and hometowns listed of all the passengers. It was an amazing time.

My honeymoon was on the Tropicale back in April 1986. I have such fond memories of all the fun we had on this ship. Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, Cabo San Lucas…it was an amazing adventure.

I took my honeymoon on Sovereign. It was my first cruise, I had no idea what I was in for. She was still fairly new and simply spectacular. I'm glad to learn she lasted longer than my marriage did!

QE2 took the ocean liner baton from SSFrance when she entered service in 1968 until passing it on to the mighty Queen Mary 2 in May 2004. QM2 plies the waves as the last of the ocean liners.

The Sovereign was me and the wifes very first cruise. 4 day to the Bahamas from Port Canaveral. That was September 2002 and the biggest thing I remember was how tiny the staterooms were. Loved hanging out in the Viking Crown lounge too though.

I am so touched to see this video. I am from Germany and met my wife in 1996 in Miami, where I live now since 2005. We spend our honey moon trip on this fantastic cruise liner in October of 1998. I am out of words. We can see us still laying next to the pool. It makes me cry. Thank tou for this memory ! ❤
